Koreaboo is a website focused on reporting the latest gossip and news related to K-Pop, including celebrities, music, movies, and drama. Founded in 2010, it has grown to be one of the largest K-POP news portals in the world.
Koreaboo delivers breaking news and has become a trustworthy source to readers to find out what’s “happening” in Korean entertainment. The term “Koreaboo” refers to a person who is a fan of the mass media produced by the global phenomenon known as the Korean Wave (Hallyu Wave).
Koreaboo held its first event in Los Angeles, California on September 4th, 2010. The event was held to promote Koreaboo as well as to gather people interested in Korean pop culture. It attracted over 3,000 people and was the largest K-Pop event organized outside of a concert.
Since then, we’ve expanded into a large scale community for lovers of the Korean wave. Home to over a million visitors a month and hundreds of thousands of members in our fan network, Koreaboo brings the latest news on our readers’ favourite actors, actresses, movies, dramas, and more. Koreaboo has expanded to co-producing concerts, events, and other activities for K-Pop fans.
In 2012, Koreaboo's founders created and produced the first ever K-POP Convention in the US called "KCON" with Mnet and CJ E&M. The festival was an enormous success, with over 10,000 people attending and famous artists such as 4MINUTE, EXO-M, B.A.P and more in attendance.
Koreaboo has not only covered and held K-Pop events internationally, we’ve created a name for ourselves in the K-Pop community as a trustworthy source for news. K-Pop fans have begun to call Koreaboo their “home” for all things related to Korean culture.
