5 Western Hit Songs You Never Knew Were Actually Produced By J.Y. Park

These 5 famous western artists are hits due in part to J.Y. Park, who produced some of their most popular songs!

Will Smith

J.Y. Park helped to produce American actor Will Smith‘s fourth studio album entitled Lost and Found. He helped write the track “I Wish I Made It”.  The album was released in 2005 and reached #6 on the US Billboard 200.

Mase

His second venture into the western music industry was with the track “The Love That You Need” off of Mase‘s album Welcome Back, this too charted in the Billboard Top 10.

Cassie 

JYP made his third western Billboard success as he helped to produce “When Your Body Is Talking” for American R&B artist Cassie‘s self-entitled debut album, Cassie. The track hit the Billboard 100 chart in 2006 and marked J.Y. Park’s third success as an Asian artist writing music in the west.

Outkast’s Big Boi

J.Y. Park also produced a track for Outkast‘s Big Boi who made a surprise appearance in Lim Jeong Hee‘s  “Madly In Love”. The surprise appearance was well received. The track there was steep, too. Other artists, including Pharell Williams and the Neptunes, who had also made offers to produce a record for Lim.

Conan O’Brien

J.Y. Park then produced a song in 2016 alongside late night host and comedian Conan O’Brien in a track called, “Fire” which featured the likes of  Steven Yeun and Park Jimin.
