This Korean artist creates a new universe that is intriguing and puzzling to the eye at first glance.

Check out a few of her artworks that are on display:

“Treasure Hunt”
Taking about three months to create, the grass was made out of craft wire and each strand was attached to a mesh screen. In this scene she is searing for fireflies which are hard to find which plays as a metaphor that says it is hard to find your ideals.
“Black Birds”
Fears and negative thoughts are represented by the black birds. Lee says that big black birds are terrifying and their talons, feathers, and beaks are frightening.
“Resurrection”
The blooming lotus flower and rising of the sun represents resurrection and purification. Lee states, “I wanted to show my personal experience of being born again by overcoming negative elements that had dragged me down, and cleansing myself emotionally.”
“Reaching for the Star”
Lee hand painted over 2000 paper cups which are stacked as if they were bricks that built a fragile castle. This represents the need for human improvement. “I wanted to express the process of heading toward your desire, along with the effort it takes to achieve your dream, which is represented by the star.” The glass marbles stand for fallen stars, gains of sand, and the danger of the paper cup castle collapsing.
“Panic Room”
When Lee felt scared and lost, she used the image of an optical illusion to express her emotions.
“Nightmare”
The paperclips that are not really threats in real life, are shown to be building up and says that small problems can compile and create a burden through life.
“My Chemical Romance”
Lee attempted to show her problems with communicating with some people with the pipes along with foggy white vapor. She uses yellow and black as it usually symbolizes the warning of danger.
"I'll Be Back" The fans in this image represent a whirlpool where the person is reaching for the robe above. Lee wanted to show the despair of the situation but also the hope.

"Childhood" Although this looks like a happy scene, the truth shows that the clock is about to strike twelve, making a parallel between Cinderella. What the child doesn't know is that the save haven is only shielding her from the real dangers of the world outside.

“Broken Heart”
This image follows the Korean proverb that says “to hit a rock with an egg.” Lee says, Eggs are so fragile and easy to break, so I felt they would be a poignant contrast to the firmness of the rocks.”
