Epik High to return with new album in September under YG Entertainment
After a three year hiatus, it has been confirmed that hip-hop group Epik High (Tablo, DJ Tukutz, Mithra) will be returning as a trio to the music industry.
YG Entertainment revealed on July 25th, "Epik High has signed an exclusive contract with YG Entertainment to release a new album. Currently, they have completed the tasks of recording the music and will release the album as early as September."
It was also revealed that the album's jacket photo was also completed in early July, along with its concept.
Epik High last released an album in September 2009 with their 6th studio album, "e," as a trio and it has been three years since then. In 2010, Tablo and Mithra released the album "Epilogue," promoting as a duo.
Since that last album, Tablo has been engulfed in a debate regarding his academics, resulting in the situation being brought to court (recently the final court decision was made), while DJ Tukutz and Mithra served their 2-year mandatory military services.
Last year in September, Epik High's Tablo entered YG Entertainment, signing an exclusive contract with them, releasing the solo album "Fever's End." The other two members, DJ Tukutz and Mithra, of Epik High were expected to sign an exclusive contract with the agency as well.
YG Entertainment said, "It's been a hard time for the members and they will showcase more music with our full support."
CEO Yang Hyunsuk also stated his support regarding Epik High's comeback, revealing that his company will fully support the trio.

No matter what company they are signed too, I am sure they will do the music that they want and love. You can't be forced to do music you don't want, it will show in your work. I'm happy for them, and await their comeback as EpikHigh
