Submitted: Oct 04 2012 03:20 PM by Congee

PSY took the stage tonight at Seoul Plaza in Korea to a completely packed audience. Performing his hit songs, the audience cheered him on through almost two hours of performances. International fans were also able to join the festivities as the entire concert was streamed on YouTube. With the audience singing and dancing along with his songs, PSY proved his popularity and success tonight during his concert at Seoul Plaza

Opening the concert with “Right Now,” which has been rapidly gaining fame following the success of his “Gangnam Style,” the popularity of PSY was clearly demonstrated. As he continued with “Sunset Glow,” originally sang by Lee Moonsae and remade by labelmates Big Bang, the crowd cheered supportively, singing along with each song.

Taking breaks between songs, he introduced himself to the audience, first in Korean, and then in English. In awe, he took a moment to stare into the audience, appreciating all the supporters who were there, including the numerous international fans.

As the concert continued, he sang more of his hit songs, including “Shake It,” “Father,” “It’s Art,” and “We Are The One.” He also sang “I'm This Kind of Guy" by DJ DOC. Showing his appreciation for his country, a segment of his first international interview with CNN was aired as he thanked Korean citizens for giving him so many chances.

Seemingly closing the concert, he performed “Gangnam Style,” which has brought him international fame, the crowd’s excitement grew and they sang and danced along. With the fan shouting for his return, PSY returned to the stage with more of “Sunset Glow,” and then led into a medley of his songs, every so often shouting “Dae Han Minguk,” once again showing his pride and appreciation for Korea. After chugging bottle of soju on stage, he following with more of his top songs, including “Champion.”

The night came to an end with another performance of “Gangnam Style.” Fulfilling his promise to perform topless, PSY took to the stage as the crowd sang the song, undressing on stage. Although the original promise was that he’d perform topless if he ranked first on the Billboard Hot 100, he retracted the statement earlier in the week, saying he’d perform topless regardless of whether he reached number 1; already appreciative and amazed at his recent success, he wanted to show his gratitude for fans.

Were you able to watch the concert live? What did you think of the stages and the amazing audience? Missed it? Fear not. You can watch a re-stream on PSY’s YouTube channel.

Update: Unfortunately, the recorded video has now been set to private. Keep checking back to see if the video will be re-publicized in the future.
