Actor Wonbin turns down drama role
Actor Wonbin's television comeback has been cancelled. It was known that Wonbin had received an offer for a new drama that would air next year, and that he was reviewing the role.
However, on August 16th, it was revealed that, "Wonbin eventually decided to not appear in the drama, which was written by Noh Heekyung and will be directed by Kim Kyutae PD, despite being very optimistic about it."
Had Wonbin accepted the television drama role, it would have marked his return to the television screen after 13 years.
A media official from the drama production team stated that since Wonbin had turned down the offer, they are currently looking at other Hallyu stars to take the role.
Writer Noh Heekyung is known for writing many hit dramas including KBS2 "The World's Most Beautiful Goodbye," "Did We Really Love," "More Beautiful Than A Flower" and "World's Within," as well as JTBC "Padam Padam - The Sound of His and Her Heartbeats" and more.
Through "World's Within," Noh Heekyung became acquainted with Kim Kyutae PD, who directed KBS2 drama "IRIS" and "Padam Padam."
