Girls' Generation Sooyoung steps down from drama series "Speed"
Slated to be one of the main female roles in upcoming drama "Speed", Girls' Generation's Sooyoung is reported to have stepped down from the production. Last November, SM Entertainment announced that they were reviewing the script for Sooyoung's role in the production which is said to be directed by Yang Yunho.
On the 16th of February, SM Entertainment confirmed that they have decided to pull out from the production, which was initially scheduled to start filming in December last year. Also confirming that Sooyoung will be focusing on promotional activities with Girls' Generations and will try to review other projects.
Sooyoung was supposed to play one of the lead roles in the drama, portraying the role of a doctor for a racing team. However, production for the series has been delayed, hence the agency's decision to pull out.
