Han Jihye shares the details of her hiatus during a press conference for "May Queen"
On August 14, the director and actors involved in the upcoming MBC drama “May Queen” attended a press conference at Yeouido, Seoul.
During the press conference, actress Han Hyejin, who is one of the drama’s female leads, shared what she had been doing during her hiatus earlier this year. She revealed, “I studied English in Vancouver. Every day I would meet up with my classmates, and we would chat and have meals together. I actually felt like a student who could just have fun and not have to worry about anything.”
But aside from being a student, the actress also did not forget to mention that she was a housewife as well. Having married back in 2010 to a prosecutor six years older than her, Han Hyejin revealed that she did a lot of housework during her hiatus. The actress said, “Of course, I was also a housewife. Every weekend I would prepare a lot of delicious food for my husband. Although I only work professionally every half year, my husband is always proud of what I do. He’s also a very responsible man, so he takes very good care of me.”
Han Hyejin will be playing the role of Jeon Haejoo in "May Queen." A kind-hearted and strong-willed girl, Jeon Haejoo always looks out for others and perseveres in the face of hardships. She is also very knowledgeable about ships as her father, who loves ships, has had a huge influence on her life. As a result, Jeon Haejoo knows how to fix ships and is also an expert on the structure of ships.
“May Queen” will begin airing on September 18 at 9:55 PM. In the meantime, check out some of the photos of the press conference below!
