Jung Yonghwa, Hallyu-dol's foreign power is proven with "Heartstrings" all-kill
Jung Yonghwa has shown his appeal outside of Korea once again. Recently, the drama "You've Fallen for Me (Heartstrings)" in which Jung Yonghwa starred in, was nominated on a squidoo.com poll for Best Korean Drama of 2011. It ranked 1st place with "City Hunter" in 2nd place with 17.5% of the votes and "Secret Garden" in 3rd place with 14.8% of the votes. "Heartstrings" got 40.5% of the votes.
On a popular Facebook site "Best of Korea," the poll "Best Teen Drama" also saw "Heartstrings" rank 1st place, beating "Dream High," "You're Beautiful," and "Boys Over Flowers."
These results show the huge popularity of Jung Yonghwa as well as the Hallyu Wave. Furthermore, the ticket sales of CNBLUE concerts in both Korea and Japan were very high and the group was also given love calls from various countries for a concert tour.
Meanwhile, on September 17th and 18th, at the Seoul Olympic Hall, the CNBLUE 2011 Asia Concert "Bluestorm in Seoul" was held. It will be followed by a concert in Japan's Yokohama Arena.
