KBS drama "IRIS" is gearing up to produce its second season
Recently, there have been rumors that a second season to the hit KBS drama "IRIS" is currently in the middle of production. These rumors have caught the attention of many people as "IRIS" was extremely popular during its broadcast in 2009.
However, Taewon Entertainment, the company that was responsible for the production of "IRIS" stated, "The second season to 'IRIS' has not yet started production. In fact, we have not yet decided on which production team to use, and we also have not yet decided on a broadcast time and date."
He then tells 10Asiae, "We are in the process of renewing and refreshing the original story [for the next season], so we have yet to to talk about the casting. We're aiming to air the show next year, but it has not been settled yet."
"Furthermore, we still don't know who should be the scriptwriter, and we also have not selected the drama's cast. But what we can say is that plans for an 'IRIS' season two is in its early stages, and we are slowly making progress towards production. However, we cannot reveal the details."
While the second season is currently in its pre-production stage, it is still too early to tell if plans will actually go through. "IRIS" fans can find some comfort in the fact that there are plans for a second season to "IRIS."
There are predictions that producer Chung Taewon will be getting his hands on the project soon after he finishes filming the film "Marrying the Mafia."

omg I'm so excited for this. IRIS has been the only kdrama that I've actually enjoyed and been able to watch all the way through.
