B1A4's Gongchan hospitalized + undergoes surgery for his kidney
WM Entertainment released a statement today and confirmed that B1A4's Gongchan was admitted to the hospital and underwent surgery to remove one of his kidneys. According to the representative, Gongchan went to surgery to remove one of his kidneys, after findings revealed that it wasn't functioning well.
It was revealed that Gongchan started experiencing severe pain back in June, as they were promoting "Baby Goodnight." He initially had poor kidney functions since birth and after having a thorough examination, he opted to go to surgery.
The representative also explained that Gongchan pushed back his operation to prevent fans from worrying over his condition. He is set to stay in hospital for a week and will take a break from the group's upcoming activities.
Meanwhile, B1A4 is set to participate on the sixth season of "Hello Baby," which will air on July 25th.
