[CONTEST] Win autographed CDs courtesy of MBC "Star Audition - Season 3"
MBC "Star Audition" will bring its third season's auditions to Los Angeles this year in hopes to find the next talented K-Pop star.
Auditions will be held on August 12th at the Wilshire Ebell Theatre in Los Angeles, and contestants passing the initial auditions will be flown to Korea to participate with other finalists found across the globe to win the grand prize.
Finalists will be able to present amazing live stages in front of thousands of people! They will also be mentored by some of the best and well-known vocalists in Korea - Lena Park, "Korea's Sweetheart" Lee Sunhee, and one of Korea's best composers, Yoon Ilsang - receiving a one-on-one session with these professionals. This will give the finalists a chance to improve their knowledge and skills so that they can be successful.
The Los Angeles auditions are open to everyone as there are no age, gender, or ethnicity requirements. However, participants must sing at least one song in Korean, though fluency in Korean is not required.
The deadline for online applications is August 11th (KST). Walk-in participants are also welcomed! You can fill out the online application at MBC's official website for "Star Audition."

I have been a Jo Kwon fan ever since 2AM debuted! His vibrant personality stands out wherever he goes, and he always stays humble and focused. His new CD is so fresh and amazing, the sound is so hip and unlike anything else in kpop right now. I could totally hear Animal or I'm Da One playing on international radio right now. I also love his older collaborations like Dunk Shoot with Whale; that song has been on heavy rotation on my mp3 player for years now.
His style is a whole 'nother topic! He is so unique and edgy, not afraid of what people say. He stays true to himself and his fans love him for it. I would absolutely love to win his autograph, I would protect and cherish it forever!

I absolutely LOVE the way Miryo raps! Sometimes in songs, the transition from vocal to rap isn't always smooth and it may kill the flow of the song. For Miryo however, she can easily fit perfectly within that flow.

I'm Afterschool's number one fan because I walk to school every day listening to BANG! on replay to get pumped! I was there for Kahi's last concert ever, shouting in English from the back "We love you, Kahi!" and screaming the lyrics to BANG! as well. I was there to see Juyeon shred on an electric guitar at a different show, and I can’t imagine anyone doing it the way she can. I sing Afterschool’s songs at karaoke. I also love Orange Caramel, especially the songs “Aing” and “One Love.”
I want the girls to know how inspiring they are and how what they’ve done as a group makes me hopeful for my own future. They act as role models for me to look up to as I consider what the next ten years of my own life will bring me (I’m a little less than a decade younger than Jung-A), and Kahi’s effort starting out as a backup dancer and working her way up to begin a solo career is inspiring to me because it shows what focus and effort will bring to those who are willing to put them forth. They are beautiful, strong, and talented women, and I want to be like that too. I will cheer them on even after they stop performing, for the interesting individuals they are. I look forward to seeing more of what Kaeun will bring to the group since Kahi’s departure, and I really enjoyed Flashback already. The more Afterschool, the better! I love these girls.

I've been an Afterschool fan, since the beginning during their "Diva" days. They have proven to be a very strong and focused group because in the beginning no one knew who they really were and they have proven time and time again that they are a great group in the kpop industry. Even through each of the new member changes, and although it was difficult to learn new dance formations and to get used to the group, they have always pulled through. Whatmore, their comebacks are always very creative and different from other girl groups and even their sub-group Orange Caramel is very cute and talented. I love their catchy beats and even their lovely ballads, they're one of my favorite kpop groups to dance along to in front of my mirror at home XD. OMG!!! i'm a big fan of Boyfriend!! why? even i don't know, I became their fan at first sight by viewing a picture of them that a chilean friend that went to Korea show me, specifically a Kwang Min picture. Was like "OMG!! look at that bright, big and beautiful smile!!! *A*" Literally I fell at his feet and then, looking for more, I fell in love for them and their beautiful and fresh music style. Since then I have been their most loyal fan, listening their songs, supporting them at their performances, singing & smiling along, oh! and even waking up along with them ("Love style" is my ring alarm hehe). I am Secret's fan number one simply because they are one of the few girlgroups that actually appeal to me. To me, they are able to pull off any kind of music, whatever they sing will come off amazing. Now that I think of it, I've loved their music ever since they debuted. Among all of the groups that I've followed since their debut, Secret is the group that I've been with the longest. It's THAT little extra that they have to me in their music, that other girlgroups don't. I'm not quite sure myself, but there is something special that I love so much. I guess it's also because I know they have been working hard to be where they are today that I admire them so much.

I love ZE:A because they are such a down to earth, talented, and amazing group. They work so hard for their dreams and it's just inspiring to me. I fell in love with them just seeing how much effort they put into everything they do. I love k-pop in general but I love A Pink the most. They are the most fresh girl group since SNSD in my opinion and I have watched most, if not all their performances. I am about to go study abroad in Seoul and really hope to see them but this would be a great alternative since the just released Une Annee and are finishing up promotion, meaning it is unlikely they will be promoting on the music shows. Hi :) I am a really big fan of Apink! Ever since their debut, I have been watching all of their videos and interviews. In my phone, there are thousands of apink photos. In my opinion, why I choose apink as the best Kpop female group, is because they are innocent, talented and they are one in a million. I never loved a Kpop group so much before. They are so special. I just love them so much. I am just a student therefore I don't earn money. But I use my pocket money and save it up for weeks to buy an apink album. Miryo is my favorite rapper in all of k-pop! She's also my bias in Brown Eyed Girls, I just absolutely love her voice and delivery. I'm a fan of Miryo because of talent as a rapper. Not many female rappers in KPop can rap like her. I'm also impressed by her hip-hop roots as a member of Honey Family. I believe they always stay true to themselves too because they seem so funny and down to earth on TV broadcasts! I've been following After School since Diva in 2009, but really fell in love with Bang! in 2010. Unfortunately I missed Ah! after they debuted, but that wouldn't stop it from becoming one of my favorite After School songs. What I enjoy the most about AS is their ability to preform with so many different styles. I've seen cutesy, sexy, dark, light, bubbly, and electronic and a lot in between. Being able to successfully pull of these styles is why AS stands out for me, and I consider myself a big fan. Even though members come and go, they can still produce quality music. Much like their songs' diversity, their sub-groups have been excellent. With Orange Caramel releasing another single soon, I'm looking forward to more AS goodness. So what really keeps me coming back for more and makes me such a fan of After School is their ability to be consistently different and still acheive success.

I'm the #1 fan of After School. I'm in love with them right after the song "Because of you" and "Bang". Then the more songs I find from them, the more excited I become. After School give me energy and inspiration with their impressive choreography, catchy songs and PERFECT performances. I know them from a very first time, when they are original with 5 members, with the DAEBAK song "Ah" ~ Everyone call After School as "Korean version of Pussy Cat Dolls". I totally agree. I am T-ara's #1 fan because they are really talented and I enjoy listening to their songs. Even with new members I still support them to the fullest!! T-ARA's #1 fan right here! T-ara literally saved my life. I was going through a rough time in life, with family and friends. I wanted to runaway from home, I cut myself and wanted at one point to die. One of my friends, not really a friend, one of the few people that would take to me was this korean girl and always talked about kpop and I hated listening to her. One day she was trying to show me a video, I decided I didn't care any more and said sure, show me. It was Lies by T-ara. Even though I didn't know the lyrics, I could feel the emotion in the song. I listened to it again and started finding out about T-ara on my own. I fell in love with their music, with their shows and with them. I comeplete forgot about all the depressed feelings I had before. I laughed along with all of T-ara's adventures and I learned that I need to live my own life too and love it! I became more open. I changed my attitude 180 degrees. Being a Queen changed me for the better. So even now during the tought times for T-ara, I still stand by them, I support them, always!

I discovered T-ara with "Time To Love" thanks to Supernova~ Since that day I started to follow their activities and I got to know them more through TV shows. They became the first girlband I had affection for !! Thanks to their awesome music I also started to learn Korean ^^ But the best best best day in my whole life was when I attended Music Bank in Paris ! Eunjung had an injury but she came nevertheless, what an amazing girl ! ♥ Now I'm sad about the controversy they're facing, because I love Hwayoung as much as the other members. But whatever the truth is, I will listen to their songs every day like I did for the past years, and I will always remember all the happiness they brought to me through their songs and personalities ^^

I love Miryos style, her rapping, her image. She is one of my fav. Korean rappers, and her album rocks. I love the duets with sunny, narsha, and the other songs. Miryo is my BEG bias, and I already listened to her song with Sunny like 150 times on youtube, and would really like to have her CD. And I hope for some more projects with Sunny and Miryo, their voices really compliment each other.

"My My" has to be my favorite song from APINK. It reminds me of older kpop groups, such as S.E.S. and Fin.K.L. After listening to "My My", I began to listen to their older songs and eventually grew to like their older songs such as "I Don't Know" and "It Girl". I also began watching variety shows that they appeared on, including APINK News Seasons 1,2, and now 3. After they won their very first award on M! Countdown for "My My", I was ecstatic. I was really proud of APINK for winning their first award not long after their debut and with a great song. APINK has to be one of my most favorite groups of all time. I love APINK because they're adorable and outgoing and I love their music. I love all their title tracks and some of their non title tracks also, including "My My", "Hush", "Bubibu", "Cat", and "I Got You". It's really refreshing to see a girl group who sticks to a single concept and doesn't do sexy concepts. I love each of the members: Chorong, Eunji, Bomi, Naeun, Yookyung, Namjoo, and Hayoung. I love Chorong because she’s a great leader that takes care of all the members and makes sure they’re all doing their best. I love Eunji because she has an outstanding voice and I love her cute Busan dialect. The reason why I like Bomi is because she’s so outgoing and adorable and will sacrifice her image to do the gorilla walk to make people laugh. I like Naeun because although she may not be the most outgoing member, she’s really cute and is one of the best artists out of all the kpop idols. I love Yookyung because she’s so multitalented; she can play the piano, violin, and speak very fluent English. I also like Namjoo because she’s so playful and also has a great voice, despite being the 2nd youngest member. I like Hayoung because although she might not be the best singer within the group, she really tries hard to her best. Overall, I really love APINK and I hope they last just as long, if not longer, than SHINHWA, who have lasted 14 years and counting.

I'm a true ZE:AS. I love them because they are who they are, they always being honest to their fans. From the first time I heard their song I cant stop listen to them. I know some people said that ZE:A is underrated, but who cares, I still love them, they have their own talent, beautiful voice, charismatic, and have their own uniqueness that make me said they are different from other group and thats make me love ZE:A more and more.

i'm a pink's number 1 fan simply because although they come across as a stereotypical kpop girl group, they've proven to me that they can shine amongst the rest. not only are they beautiful, talented girls, but they're also warm-hearted individuals who genuinely care about their fans (as shown through their song "april 19th" written by leader chorong). also, their music/visual concept never changes drastically; instead, they gradually transform from cute, innocent girls to sexy, confident young ladies^^ i like that in a group. i normally grow attached to a group who has passion for what they do, and a pink has shown that they can work hard and put dedication in performing all with a smile on their faces. i admire them so much for that. therefore, i've grown to be a huge fan of these beautiful ladies<3

I would say I'm the #1 fan of T-ara because I was with them since the beginning, I loved them when they released "Good Person" and when Ji Ae and Ji won left the group. I was there when Boram, SoYeon and Qri were added to the group and when the group released their huge hit "Bo peep Bo peep"
When T-ara announced that they were adding new member "HwaYoung" I was there supporting them and stood by them even though a lot of netizens were dissing on the new girl and what not.
Since the release of Day by Day and the new member Ahreum, T-ara has been throught a very nasty scandal regarding HwaYoung and Bullying. I'm the #1 fan because through all of this, I have been there with them, I have been defending them because they are like my own sisters and I love them to death, even HwaYoung, even though she is no longer a part of T-ara she will always be a part of the T-ara family. I deserve to win the T-ara Day By Day cd because they mean the world to them. they are the reason I got into Kpop and without them, I would not be here entering this contest. Also this CD is the last with fellow member HwaYoung and it would be an honor to have this.

Jokwon also has a very powerful voice. When he sings, his voice is soo powerful that you can feel what he is singing about. An example is 2AM song Like Crazy (미친듯이). When Jokwon sings, his voice is soo powerful that you are able to feel the pain and hurt that he is singing about, also when he cries. Jokwon has a very big heart and he cares for everyone. I'm actually not a #1 fan of any of these groups but I would like to enter on behalf of my mother who recently became a #1 fan of T-ARA. She's used to hearing kpop in my house and in our car for years but she only had a slight interest in it. However, when I was watching one of T-ARA's comeback stages for their Day by Day promotions on our tv my mom was completely mesmerized by them not only because of their stunning beauty, but also their vocals and dance skills. She couldn't keep her eyes off of them the moment she first saw them. From then on she wanted to learn everything about them and hear all of their songs. T-ARA's music is a daily must listen in my home now because of my mom's new found love for them. Her favorite member is Soyeon and she literally squeals and screams like a teenage fan girl every time she sees her (My mom is 47 years old so you can imagine how silly that seems right?). I know there are probably fans out there more deserving of the cd than her but I think an autographed Day by Day cd would be a perfect gift to welcome her into the Queen fandom.

I originally was going to write about "I'm Da 1" to get Jo Kwon's awesome CD but I seems to be a little late for that!
Honestly speaking, I wouldn't mind getting any of the other artist's CDs since they are all remarkable in their own way. I remember Apink got me with the "I don't know" song and their cute images. But Boyfriend snagged my attention right from the start with their debut song! the dance was something i learned bits and pieces of! It was a fun dance to learn with the fast tempo! And they astounded me again and again with their "Don't touch my Girl" and "I'll be there."
For T-ARA, I never was really into them until their more disco-like style of music came out! Yes, i'm talking about "Roly Poly" ^^ and also "Lovey dovey" was also a hit! I even taught the dance to a group of my friends so we could dance to it for a talent show!! it was one of the best experiences ever! who knew shuffling and disco dancing could be so much fun! Even with the recent controversy, it's hard to say whose right or wrong but since i haven't known them that long. I can not choose a side to stand on. all i hope for is that each of the members can continue to show their best side to us. and as fans that we really show support to the artists.
finally, I'd like to write about secret! my favorite songs from them were "magic" and "madonna" haha even though in "Magic" they were really saying "MAZIK" i really fell in love with their accents! it made me feel that even though they were in korea, they were making an effort to connect with their fans worldwide! that made me feel welcomed into their music! And the dance for madonna is just fun! the twisting and turning around the hips i believe helped me lose some of that extra tires (fat) i have haahah xD

hello! i've been SECRET's fan from their debut song ' i want you back ' til ' twinkle twinkle. They all have really bright and cheerful smiles, every time i see them i immediate start smiling. They're the first girl group whose songs are all my favourite!!! My favourite member is Sunhwa, when she was in Invincible Youth, she showed a different side of her. She was always smiling and making others laugh. She was still a rookie back then, but she caught my attention through out the whole season. Even though Sunhwa is my favourite member, the other 3 member doesnt disappoint me at all. Jieun has such a wonderful voice, Hyosung eyesmile and Zinger's powerful dance moves in bouquet! To me, they're all equally wonderful and amazing! I was really happy when i saw this contest, and when i saw Secret was one of the group there, i was really happy:D! I'm the #1 fan of Boyfriend because I've been supporting them even before their debut, like back when there were still rumors about who would debut in the group. To be honest, when they finally debuted with their song Boyfriend, I only liked them because they were all cute and flower boy-ish. But now that I've seen them have their comebacks and shows, I was able see all of them grow, not only as performers/idols, but as people. They all have their own unique personalities and talents. Although i am a HUGE FAN of 2 of the groups available. I would pick T-ara. The other group was After School. But i Love T-ara more. Reason being, even through their whole scandal and controversy, I still stood up and supported the girls. While there were some people that were bad mouthing. *of course i don't think any of those people would be here* QUEEN's FIGHTING! Other reasons is that a lot of the members have been in dramas that i have watched. Such as Dream High 1/2 (with Eunjung (in Season 1) and Jiyeon (in Season 2)) and their roles, have been truly splendid. I am an actor myself. Although i'm still in high school. this coming school year is my senior year, i'm taking drama at school. and I've been in drama since freshmen year. So i'm able to tell whether or not they were great actress's. and especially Jiyeon in "God of Study", I have watched that drama around 5 times now. She will be a very great emotional actress in the future. She has that talent to make people cry with her.
So the main reason why i really love T-ara, is because of their music and the members. Members i have already talked about. Now their music. All of their music that i have listened to, have all become hit songs on charts. their hits such as "I Go Crazy Because of You" "Lies" "Lovey Dovey" "Cry Cry" "Day by Day (Don't Leave Me)" and a lot more. but these are the ones that i really loved the most. Lastly, i don't want the scandal about the group to bring the girls down, instead, i wish that will be a wake up call for them to continue to strive forward, and to learn from their mistakes to put on a better image. And i will always, now and forever support the girls even through all the troubles that they have.
Again lastly, the main topic, the reason why i'm T-ara's #1 fan, is because whenever i'm feeling down, or depressed, i always listen to "Day by Day" or "떠나지마" because i listen to songs that relate to my mood. a lot of T-ara's songs always cheers me up. Honestly, i'm always SNSD's #1 Fan, but at the same time T-ara's #1 fan also. Both groups songs i always listen to depending on my mood. But i mostly listen to T-ara's songs, because their songs have really good lyrics. And that's why i'm their number one fan.

I believe T-ara is one of the many successful groups there been in KPOP, it's really depressing how they're involved in such an awful controversy. I have been a fan of Boyfriend since their debut. I could still remember my anticipation for their debut and how much I had researched about them beforehand to get to know the members. During that time, they were against a few rookie groups and, I think, they had the least fans among all those groups but I chose to stick with them because I had faith that they would not disappoint me. And they really did not. From then on, I'd sworn to always support them in any way I can; they became one of my main fandoms :)
What I love about Boyfriend is their fresh image. You'd always love to see their music videos, and even fancams, and you'd always want to listen to their songs because they bring you good vibes and happiness. Whenever I feel a bit down for some reason, I just have to watch their videos and see their smiles and I'll be all happy and rainbows again, no kidding. Each of the members are unique; each of them will charm you out and you wouldn't know who to pick among those six beautiful boys. I'm so proud of their singles too. Love Style is such a beautiful album, it's been looped on my player ever since its release, along with their other songs. I have no other wish for them than to win on music shows and achieve the number one spot :)

Omg! I feel like crying coz I was just writing and all of a sudden all that I’ve typed down was gone. Anyway, I’m like one of the biggest Secret fans out there!! I have been a fan of Secret since they debuted in 2009. The first time I heard I want you back, it attracted me right away. Then I waited for their first mini-album, Secret Time, and boy, the songs in the album are really really nice! Ever since then, I have been following Secret in the kpop scene. I don’t know how else I’m going to describe how big of a Secret fan I am ^^…..only that.. I love them so much! Hyosung, Jieun, Zinger, and Sunhwa have really good team work and all of them are perfect to be in Secret…, I can sing all their songs especially with lyrics in front of me ^^ (I read Korean, but quite slow for noraebang), and oh speaking of which, I always sing their songs whenever I go to noraebang!! When they came here last year for KMF 2011, I was overjoyed! I never thought I would see them in person! In the concert, I was totally fangirling them! I also don’t have any skills in making fan signs or anything-art related; but I made one just for them ^_^
Anyway, Secret may not have that many many fans. Nevertheless, these goddesses are full of talent and charms. They CAN sing, they can totally sing, even rapper Zinger can sing ^_^ And they are very nice, funny, and hardworking. It was a tough road, but they have worked so hard to achieve the success they have today. That’s one road I will walk with them. It’s SECRET TIME!! Even when they have individual activities, they don't forget where they come from of the name of ZE:A. Their music is always brilliant, every song on every album allowing them to display their wide range of talents and voices across the songs. I'm a no. 1 fan of Secret because despite not gaining as much attention as other groups, they are strong in everything they do. They are also fearless, which is really respectable. During the period last year, around October, when the big groups were making a comeback, many groups tried to avoid a head on battle against them, but Secret continued to brave through the battle. I respect them for being brave and not falling back just because of obstacles. Personally, I feel that Secret is pretty under-rated, and that they should be recognised more. They are a force to be wary off. They have the vocals. They have the looks. They have the rapping capability, and they have the personality. They are a complete package.
Apart from them, I am their fan because of the kindness and their supportive nature. During the debut of their 'brother' group, B.A.P, they were there giving them as much support as possible. Their sisterly figure is truly something I love about them, and I'm sure many fans and non-fans will fall for them seeing how much they care for others.
I cant say I've been supporting them since the start, but when I did start falling for them, I spent lots of money just to support them. Their albums. Their Seasonal Greetings. Their autographed album. I simply want to show them how much I support them!
I do hope that more people will support them, and show them love, because they are a group that really should be recognised.

I haven't been a Pink Panda since debut, sadly, but I still consider myself A Pink's #1 fan because I truly love and adore the girls for their music and personas. I have taken enjoyment in their music the moment I listened to their songs because they're like a fresh breath of air among the song releases last and this year . They proved why A Pink especially could make themselves known among all the girl group debuts in 2011 in the rookie debut boom.
I have observed the girls closely and it makes me proud to say that they have grown a lot, musically, artistically and characteristically wise. It's wonderful to see them grow as artists and people with each new release, yet stick to their retro music inspired roots.
Une année is a great album and each song is like a gem, 0419 alone is a heartwarming song among them. Also I think A Pink songs represent their characters really well. The songs are bubbly, cute, adorable, energetic and graceful and so are the concepts and mvs.
A Pink are a bunch of lovely girls, but also have tomboyish, crazy, random, mocking and taunting traits that make them just all the more precious and make you want to love them.
I really, really love the girls and I could not imagine stanning a better band. They make me proud, they make me happy, they make me emotional and whether they know it or not, they are there for me when I need them. The girls are my life.

I never had the greatest life in the past, but ever since i discovered them, i've done nothing but smile. All 11 of them make me smile. I love their music and their stage performances/presence. They are AMAZING performers. I love that they have more of a family bond rather than a sisterly bond (well except for the younger ones). But all 11 of them are extremely talented and no matter how many members are added and removed from the group, i'll support them until the end. I smiled at every new admission and cried at every graduation. It's something i fear all the time but if After School wants us to accept this system, then so i will. I would say the thing that makes me #1 fan of ZE:A is the fact that no matter how my music taste/mood changes, there are always ZE:A's songs in my playlist, no matter what. Even when I almost stopped listening to k-pop, I still had those few songs from them I could never delete from my playlists. I've been their fan since debut and patiently waited for every comeback. I've supported and watch SECRET grow ever since their debut with "I want you back" and even though they get overshadowed a lot, they're one of the few groups I do admire from the rest and I believe that they deserve more recognition for their talents because all 4 of them deliver their own unique ability to the table. Hyosung has such a great smile and it truly does show when she's on stage! Zinger is an amazing rapper and she doesn't fail to show us her powerful hip hop rap! Jieun, who's personally my bias is so amazing in her own ways. I truly do love her for her charming and delightful voice and her personality is so adorable! I only have a few unnies I look up to in kpop and she's on of them! Last but not least, there's Sunhwa who has such an angel-like face, who wouldn't love her? She's so fierce on stage, and she never fails to amaze me. Jokwon also has a very powerful voice. When he sings, his voice is soo powerful that you can feel what he is singing about. An example is 2AM song Like Crazy (미친듯이). When Jokwon sings, his voice is soo powerful that you are able to feel the pain and hurt that he is singing about, also when he cries. Jokwon has a very big heart and he cares for everyone. I don't know if i'm qualified to be called a #1 fan, but anyway, i shall say that I'm usually not a person who buys albums that much simply because i can't make purchase online, but i've just started to love ZE:A for one year and i'm already buying their albums and stuffs, yes, I even put up with all the hassle of trying to get help from people to get the albums for me. I think that's telling on how much i love them. Even before i became their fan and just started to get to know them, i had the urge to protect them from negative remarks and bashing made by people who don't even bother to get to know them. Watching their predebut shows made me feel how genuine they all are and the tough predebut life they had, and not to mention, their awesomeness. It upsets me how so many kpop fans i've met look down on them just because they're so underrated and I felt bad for not being able to notice them and become a fan earlier. But I'm glad I am now, because they're truly a gem. Now, my days and nights are spent to spazz on them and keep updates on these nine SPECTACULAR boys and make video-edits on their talents or write fanfics about them. I know, it's like i have no life, i guess i can be counted as a #1 fan then? xD I really hope to win the SIGNED album though...because how could I not want to? An album signed by my #1 idol...omg!

I would say I'm the #1 fan of T-ara because I was with them since the beginning, I loved them when they released "Good Person" and when Ji Ae and Ji won left the group. I was there when Boram, SoYeon and Qri were added to the group and when the group released their huge hit "Bo peep Bo peep"
When T-ara announced that they were adding new member "HwaYoung" I was there supporting them and stood by them even though a lot of netizens were dissing on the new girl and what not.
Since the release of Day by Day and the new member Ahreum, T-ara has been throught a very nasty scandal regarding HwaYoung and Bullying. I'm the #1 fan because through all of this, I have been there with them, I have been defending them because they are like my own sisters and I love them to death, even HwaYoung, even though she is no longer a part of T-ara she will always be a part of the T-ara family. I deserve to win the T-ara Day By Day cd because they mean the world to them. they are the reason I got into Kpop and without them, I would not be here entering this contest. Also this CD is the last with fellow member HwaYoung and it would be an honor to have this.

I'm a ZE:A's, and even though I unfortunately couldn't be their fan since their debut, I try my best to support them with all my heart now. What first caught my attention was the lively and fresh rhythm of Mazeltov, and the hard work and concentration they showed during the performances. Later, as I got to know them better through interviews and varieties, I learnt how friendly they are with each other, with other idols and with their fans as well. They work hard and they never give up, I respect and love this about them.
Supporting them from the other side of the world is not easy (literally, since I live in Hungary, Europe), but I try to order albums that could help them win awards on a music shows, and I also take part in fan project, such as making placards and writing letter which fans collect and send them, so they know how many people love them. I wish to see them live one day, but until then, I will continue doing my best to support them, despite the huge distance.

I really love ZE:A! I really think im their number 1,because my day isn't complete if i don't see them or just listen to them. I really love Boyfriend & they're definitely #1 in my heart. Even though I wasn't supporting them from the start, i don't think that's what matters because I love all of them now unconditionally. I really can't express how much they mean to me, I feel like I know them personally because I watch them so much. I can't necessarily say that I'm MIRYO's #1 fan, but I do think that loving her music and her being an artist makes me, one of the people that will listen to her music until she can. Brown Eyed Girls is one of my favorite groups and it makes me happy that their company is allowing the members to try doing solos. MIRYO's solo album was beyond my expectation, I love it. Her unique and strong rapping fits the song in that release. Because of this, never will I be ashamed that I'm a big supporter of MIRYO, or as you worded it, her #1 fan.

After School! :D Well, I admit I didn't follow them since their debut, because I didn't know K-Pop at that time, but when I found that "new world of music", one of the songs I knew from the beggining was the hit "Diva" and I totally fell in love with them, so I've been following their work till now! There is no single song of them I don't like, I like them all, but of course there are songs that had a bigger impact on me, like "Diva", "BANG!", "Shampoo" and the dance song "Let's Step Up", where in just 1.51 minutes we can see they are excellent dancers, apart from being good singers (and UEE a good actress), which proves they have great potential as artists on global level. Although I was sad about the departure of Bekah, Kahi and Soyoung, I was never angry nor I stop supporting them or the other members of the group... I think each one of them has the right to choose what they feel is better for themselves, and if this is the path they chose, I agree with their decision and I just wish them to be happy :) To me, After School is a group of nice girls which represents strength, maturity, sensuality, self-confidence and dedication, and I can feel it better through their live performances, because they have strong presentation and connection with the public, and I think that's admirable. On the other hand, since they have several types of concepts, they can also present a sweeter, softer side of them, and still they show confidence and self-esteem, which makes me feel better about myself as a woman too! Their new work "Flashback" is awesome, I'm still addicted to the tittle song and the song "Eyeline" by Nana :3 I hope they continue to succeed, more and more... They deserve it! :D ♥

I've been a fan of them since few years back. They debuted in January 2010, but before they debuted, they had a reality show. I've been a fan of them since then. They're a bunch of guys that work really hard to achieve their dreams and they never gave up. They starved, they trained, they cried. All these due to their dreams of becoming a singer. Even before they debut, they performed for people in wingcars and went through embarrassing, panicky situations but they still went for it. They are humble and down-to-earth. People didn't know them but to let more people know about them, they went to search for places that allows public shows and did their performances.
We all can see that they learned a lot from all those experiences and that's why even now, they are still a bunch of humble guys that didn't forget their roots and how much work and effort they had put in to be where they are. They may be underrated and unappreciated, but they will always have their fans' love and support. It's difficult stanning a group that's underrated, but it's definitely worth it.
Music-wise, their songs are really nice. Although in previous promotions they had, I feel that they should have promoted another song from their single or album because the songs not being promoted were actually better and maybe they can get noticed by others too. Title songs are actually very important if they want to catch others' attention. But since they are performing for the fans that have been loving them always, I think it's alright even if they don't get noticed. As long as we are there for them, everything will be fine (: Other than that, I'm actually satisfied with the music I get from them. I hope they will continue giving us good music and just be their humble selves.
Winning their autographed CD will definitely be something I'll cherish forever.

I've been a huge fan of ZE:A since their debut. They have received a lot of criticism throughout their career, at debut their track got a lot of hate and they got bashed for having nine members. And even two years into debut they haven't had a huge hit either, which is quite a while in K-pop. That's saddening, but despite all of this I love them.
They are such a genuine group of boys, it really warms my heart to just watch videos of them interacting. They are crazy and dumb, but so lovable. That's why I'm a big fan! I am not very fond of the company they are under, which makes weird decisions sometimes which is frankly quite irritating as an international fan. But in the end ZE:A's passion, friendship and talent makes me forget all about it once I watch them. They have such good songs, their latest album Spectacular truly lives up to it's name. I can tell you backstories of the members, some of which heartbreaking. This all adds up to my adoration and love towards the members.
Overall I am a huge fan of ZE:A because I just have so much respect for the members, they are amazing, have such good music and they are just the most amusing bunch of boys together. I could write you a whole essay detailing my love for them and each member, but I don't even know if I can properly word everything, so I'm just going to keep it at this. I just absolutely love my Children of Empire ♡~

I'm ZE:A's #1 fan! Since ZE:A's debut until now, I've been buying their releases and merchandises. I'm supporting them non-stop from online voting to physical releases they can always count on me - a true STYLE! I've also been another way for the boys to promote themselves by updating, translating (tweets + articles) and searching more info on the ZE:A's activities through our local fanclub (ZE:A Philippines) for other fellow Styles and kpop-viewers. Though ZE:A has not been winning many awards that would clearly show other kpop fans that they are popular and great, I refuse to believe it. ZE:A is great due to their hardwork, perseverance, humility and endless love for their fans. This has what made me love ZE:A more and more each day. Through their latest comeback, I bet all other kpop fans have seen the qualities I have listed above. ZE:A toured Korea to be able to promote their music and they gave their all during the comeback stages. Each member of ZE:A also know how to show love for all of the members when they are casted individually on variety shows or dramas. I LOVE T-ARA! When all this bullying reports were popping up, i never believed it for one second. I knew that my favorite, FAVORITE, girl group wouldn't do anything like that. I first fell in love with T-ARA when i heard lies. but i fell even more in love when i heard TTL with Supernova. I just couldn't get out of their charm. I have listened to all their songs, korean and japanese, and i even dance to their songs. I love all the members, and even when i heard that they would get more new members, i was very glad!

After School is one of the kpop groups that brought me into kpop. I saw their "Ah" music video from a friend's phone and immediately liked them. I have been a gigantic fan since then. I'm going to be completely honest here: Regarding T-ARA, I am guilty as charged, at first i was a fan that felt disappointed in T-ARA after hearing about the bullying rumors (but I still stayed loyal to them, just not 100%), As a fan of T-ara.... I'm dedicated to stay true to them! not only though the good times! but also though the bad times! I jumped to conclusions and picked sides without getting all of the answers. Then after really thinking about it, I felt T-ara should be taken innocent until proven guilty, it's not fair to jump to conclusions before knowing the whole story. I'm still a QUEEN to the very end! I have continued to show support to the girls despite of all the hate that T-ara has had over these past few days. When the latest episode of Music Bank came on KBS I didn't think I would cheer to much, but when I saw T-ARA I screamed lol. I have to say . I'm surprised at how much talent Miyro has . When I first listened to her, I fell in love with her voice. She's one of the best Korean rappers I've heard. I think that Miryo isn't as popular as she should be, her voice captivates me with every lyric and whenever I hear her featured in a song, I recognize her voice instantly. About a year ago I first discovered Kpop like many others did, through SNSD's Gee. I was immediately hooked to the catchy video and lyrics, and I eventually compiled a playlist of about 10 songs I would listen too. That playlist eventually got old, and my interest in Kpop faded completely for a while. However, about three months ago, I stumbled upon the song Hush by Apink. The song gave me the same feeling I had when I first listened to Gee, and I was immediately drawn back into the genre. I proceeded to seek out more of Apink's music, and before I knew it I was watching not just their MV's, but also subbed interviews and Apink News episodes. For the first time, Kpop was more than just music to me. I was not only drawn to their music, but also their bright and interesting personalities. I've since become more well rounded in the world of Kpop than I was back when I had my small 10 song playlist, but throughout it all Apink has remained my favorite group. They got me into kpop, and are doing a good job of keeping me here too. Winning a signed Apink album would be amazing, and I really appreciate the opportunity you guys are giving us.

I may not be the definite number one fan of After School, but I am huge fan of theirs and I've followed After School since the days of Ah! when they were testing out the Pussycat Dolls' concept. With each new song, the group has steadily grown and shown different sides of themselves -- from the dance-ballad Because of You to the fierce drum cadence of Bang! (which the girls spent months learning and perfecting for their stages and mv) to the tapdancing Step Up and even further to today's sexy and womanly concept Flashback.
I love that each and every girl, no matter new or old, has a chance to shine in their music videos despite having such a large number of girls. I like that they are close even with the age gaps between the oldest and youngest members; they work hard and love harder. The girls of After School always work hard to show fresh new images and give strong performances; they have an admirable drive and work ethic, whether it be learning a tap dance routine or a drum cadence or sharpening the precision of which they execute their dance moves. Their vocalists are amazing singers, and I enjoyed that Raina and Jungah have been given chances to showcase their vocal prowess through their songs, even the dance hits like Diva. The ladies are beautiful with fit legs and toned bodies; they don't go to the extremes with their diets, but rather work out and exercise regularly. They are also wonderful and sweet and hilarious; no matter what variety they go on, I feel as though they always shine bright, whether together as a whole group or just one member alone. Kahi and Jungah have been great leaders so far, and I can feel like having them watch over the group as it's progressed has strengthened the members' bonds with one another.
I may not be the biggest fan of their graduation system -- it's been hard to let go of such great women like Kahi and Bekah -- but I feel like the graduation system does a lot of good for the girls as well. The members who have "graduated" have done so willingly, and they are now strengthening their own skills (Bekah with design, Kahi with a solo career) and I still keep up to date with all past members. The graduation system does bring in some great and talented girls, such as their recent additions. The newer girls have added in talents with guitar and Japanese skills (which is helpful to their want of expanding into the Japanese market). We have also seen the success of Orange Caramel, a group that the three members were wary of at first but have since grown to love. Whether it's UEE's acting, Orange Caramel's cute and/or dance-y songs, or After School as a whole: I am always excited to watch them and see how they've grown since their debut. This is why I feel like I'm one of the biggest fans.

When I went to watch Hush, I was proud of these 7 girls who have made it so far. I love Apink and will forever be a pink panda. I love Apink because they're one of the silliest, most down to earth girl groups around. There are very few girl groups that can make me laugh as much as Apink. They're all so young but they've worked so hard and enjoy every minute of it. Each girl is so unique and brings her own specialness to the group. Eunji's amazing vocals carry the band, Chorong's slightly mean (but of course lovable!) way of leading the group makes sure they all listen to her, Naeun's quiet but serene beauty catches the people's eye, Namjoo's AMAZING variety show skills and reactions can make anyone laugh, Bomi's utter ability to not care AT ALL about her image, Hayoung's shy yet silly and follows her unnies no matter what and Yookyung's cute, determined personality. All of these things make Apink who they are and they're all reasons why I love them so much. Lately in K-pop, most girl groups go for the powerful image. Apink changes that and goes back to the earlier days of Kpop with their cute, innocent image. It's a breath of fresh air and a reason why they won the rookie award last year. I'm so proud that I have the same year of birth as Ha Young.It made me started to believe that age is not the limit to achieve success.Since I am a girl,I'm naturally more into boy groups,but A Pink has really captured my heart with their style. Every time I watch them I'd go something like "awwww,they're so cute and they sing very well too!". A Pink! Since their debut, I saw something in them that made them stand out among the rest. It wasn't the image they portrayed that made them stand out. in fact their image was about as generic as their name. What stood out the most was their talent. Their vocal abilities, especially as rookies were beyond what I had seen of rookie kpop idols of that year. Their dancing was sharp and concise. and their synchronization was beyond par from the rookies. their talents continuously became stronger with every song that was released. and this was especially apparent with the win of best rookie of the year at various award shows. Their future is bright just as much as I am a great fan of A Pink :) I absolutely adore them! :D

I'm the #1 fan of ZE:A! I watched them debut, although I did not pay much attention to them last time. Then, what finally caught my eye was their single "Heart for 2" in 2011. When I started streaming music programs to watch, this song really caught my attention among others promoting at that time. With their recent comeback "Aftermath", I really think that ZE:A is my favourite guy group. I am the biggest fan of T-ARA. Had been a QUEENS since their first song 좋은 사람. T-Ara is the first Idol that attract me to the KPop World. It was when I was in Korea for a winter course and I watch the drama Cinderella Man. I found the song is good and asked my friend about it. and from that, I discovered T-Ara. I love ALL their songs. They also are not afraid to sing variety genre. from dance to techno to ballad. That is what so amazing about this girl group. They are an all-rounder idol. The members perform well in variety shows, dramas and movies. Every concept were lovely to me and i love them to the bits. I'm the No.1 A_Pink Fanboy!
Yes, I'm one of A Pink's Fanboy. A Pink caught my eye since their "I Don't Know" debut, started to get crazy over them. Watched every performances and started to dig their cameos on early MVs.
I also started to watch their first variety appearances such as on Birth of A Family and kept an eye to Infinite members if they would touch my pink princesses.
When MY MY was released, I was happy like there's no more tomorrow, Danced and learned half of their choreography late at night. (considering I'm a guy, and this is an awkward moment to share :3)
I have too much story to share about being A Pink's fanboy but it might take me to write it all for hours or days LMAO.

When ZE:A debuted, I was going through a lot of health problems and my family was going through a financial crisis. I was upset and tired every day, and it was very hard for me to find a reason to smile. Then, I decided check a news site one day, and I saw that a new group had debuted with their song "Mazeltov". I thought, "what a silly name for a KPOP song," but I gave it a chance; I'm so happy that I did. The song was catchy; I think within the first day of its release, I'd maybe looped it a couple hundred times. I loved it, and after that I started following ZE:A and news about them. When the members hurt, it pains me as well; I just want them to be happy.
They taught me that hard work paid off; I started focusing more on my studies. They taught me that having a bond with someone was important; I reconnected with my friends. They taught me that everything would be okay with patience; I overcame my health issues and am here today, happy to say, that I'm the number one fan of ZE:A. They've given me so much more than music; they've given me hope. They are some of the sweetest boys in the whole industry; I love that they are close, that they've stuck together through everything, from promotion to promotion. I want them to succeed in all that they do. ZE:A, thank you for brightening up my days for the past years; I owe you so much more than I can give, but having your CD (with your signatures) would truly make me smile. T-ara has been my favorite artist for more than 2 years, and my love for them is still going strong. It amazes me how each member can pull of any concept, whether it be sexy or cute. All of the members are talented, down-to-earth, and kind-hearted. They produce a wide variety of music, such as catchy songs or ballads, which I find amazing. It's hard to pick a favorite concept and song because i seriously love them all! I love Eunjung! She's my favorite member and her acting in Dream High was amazing! (she makes me want to become a actress, even though I have no acting talent). They're a hardworking group and I will continue to respect and supported them through the good and the bad times. I log onto Koreaboo everyday for any updates on T-ARA (This is my favorite K-Pop news website) and I even created a blog in honor of them. Korean artists have become more and more popular in Philippines. First is through Korean Dramas. Soap operas and drama series have become a staple for daytime and primetime viewing in the Philippines. The huge demand from viewers for Asian telenovelas has prompted Philippine TV stations to import Korean dramas.
Filipinos love drama and stories that we can relate to. Most of the time, the Korean dramas are quite escapist and moving. Aside from the touching plotlines, the production is really a visual experience of places that most of us are not accustomed to seeing. Koreanovelas give viewers a different style of storytelling from usual Filipino soap operas, or "teleseryes." Since Korean dramas are aired only two hours a week, compared to the Filipino daily 30-minute episodes, viewers can expect a faster pace. As long as they appeal to the taste of TV audiences, Koreanovelas will continue to warm the hearts of Filipinos…
So basically, I was introduced to Korean culture through watching Korean Dramas. I became a fan of kdramas since 4th grade until now… But my love for Korea does not end here..
KPOP in the Philippines started to gain popularity when former teen star Sandara Park went global with her phenomenal group 2NE1. Her success paved the way for the entry of other popular KPOP acts in Philippine mainstream music. Since then, Kpop became part of my life.
Music is a universal language, so KPOP’s first appeal is its melody. It is catchy and easy to understand. In English, it’s what we call light and perky… and it appeals mostly to audience who are in the younger demographic. It does not matter if you’re Korean or Filipino, even if you cannot understand the lyrics, the first thing that would appeal to you is the melody. Second, the singers. Third, the production value of the music videos. Fourth, the fantasy factor. Most of the Filipino fans belong to the lower income generating class, or they can also be well-off but they want to travel in other countries. And Korea represents a certain appeal that young Filipinos aspire. That is the main reason why most Filipino youth are addicted to KPOP.
I strongly believe that the charm of K-pop lies mostly in the dancing. Think about it – without the dancing, most of these K-pop songs will be totally useless. You can “sing” by using auto-tune, or just lip sync to an earlier recording. Dancing is genuine, you can’t fake it.
I became a #1 fan of t-ara because of their song "roly poly" when i watched the mv in MTV. T-ara’s Roly Poly descends on us like an angel from heaven, and it DESTROYS most other K-pop music videos out there. The best thing about Roly Poly is that it’s not pretentious at all. What we have here is John Travolta inspired cheesiness from the 70s, and the entire concept is extremely effective. The dance is fun to watch, the moves are fun to follow, and the girls’ performance is great!
I love the overall presentation of this music video, mostly consisting of our seven girls dancing in a disco setting with many flashing lights around them. Thankfully, the lights are all well controlled and they never become a distraction. The ambience of this music video is very lively, and the outfits look very tasteful. I especially like JiYeon’s hairstyle and that dangerous expression she’s wearing on her face.
That is the story of when I started to become a fan of T-ara... For almost one year I've been a fan of kpop, I seriously LOVE Them! I will forever love them despite all the controversies happening >< i hope these happenings will make them stronger..

Hello my name is Gabby. I cant say that I am the #1 fan of After School in the whole world, but I am the # 1 here in Indianapolis. I love After School beacuse they were the 1st Korean group I listened to, and I so totally like all their songs. Since that day I love them and the Korean music industries/groups. Their is not one day that I dont listen to After School, probably about 15 times a day i listen to their songs over and over again. My family is going nuts, because their a whole bunch of Spanish/Mexicans ha but every day i fall more in love with the music and culture that GREAT KOREA has for me.
