Big Bang's G-Dragon has gotten massive reaction from his most recent confession of smoking marijuana in Japan back in mid-May. On October 5th, it was revealed by prosecutor Kim Hwejong that G-Dragon had been investigated under the suspicion of smoking marijuana.

Now the question remains as to whether G-Dragon's upcoming Japanese activities will be affected by the recent news reports. This includes broadcasting activities in Korea.

A broadcasting official stated, "In this kind of situation, the rules are a somewhat ambiguous." G-Dragon is currently under suspicion of indictment for smoking marijuana and has not officially been indicted.

The prosecution has not officially indicted G-Dragon and has only put him under "suspension of indictment" after taking his age, motive, and means into consideration. In addition, G-Dragon did not have any prior criminal records and this is his first offense.

According to the prosecution, they had taken a sample of G-Dragon's urine and hair to test for marijuana. The Munhwa Ilbo reports that the urine analysis showed 1 nanogram of the drug's component was identified, while many other news media has reported that the urine drug test came back negative. Within a week, a hair drug test was administered, which will identify if G-Dragon had taken marijuana in the last year, and returned positive.

G-Dragon's agency YG Entertainment reacted to the news and said, "We haven't heard any information regarding this incident. We will check the facts first before releasing an official statement." An emergency meeting has been called, according to the official at YG Entertainment.

It has been reported by Billboard Korea that G-Dragon's upcoming photoshoot for the outdoor clothing brand "The North Face" has been cancelled in light of the recent news.

A tweet made by Big Bang's Taeyang on October 1st has also received attention, in which he posted, "You think I don't know it, but I know everything. While it may seem like I'm being deceived, I'm just closing my eyes."

Fellow senior YG artist Se7en replied to Taeyang and tweeted, "What's wrong Yongbae-ya? You need to come see me...let's meet next week!!"

Big Bang first made their official debut in Japan in 2009 with their single "My Heaven. Their popularity has continued to rise over the years and Big Bang has released 2 studio albums ("Big Bang," "Big Bang 2") and 6 singles thus far. They last released an album "Big Bang 2" in May, which peaked at No.1 on the Oricon Charts.

Big Bang is set to release their "LOVE&HOPE TOUR" DVD on October 19th, while the sub-unit GD&TOP are set to release their debut single "Oh Yeah" on November 9th. and Big Bang's 1st Best of album for release on November 23rd.

I don't know too much about Korean policies and weed but i believe GD shouldn't be prosecuted so harshly. It's just not right, maybe cause I'm an American but I think weed is much better than alcohol.. yet even with alcohol if you're not disruptive then it shouldn't be a problem. I hope GD makes it out okay people just like to nit pick at pop stars and it sucks
