JYP speaks out on Jay Park's withdrawal from 2PM and Lee Kikwang

Submitted: Dec 21 2010 10:55 PM by Flowsion

Park Jin Young (JYP) was a guest star on the latest episode of KBS2TV's "Win Win". During the episode, he spoke out on one of the biggest issues of this year, Jay Park's withdrawal from 2PM. He also revealed the reason as to why BEAST's Lee Kikwang did not debut under JYPE after training there.

MC Kim Seung Woo dropped the question on JYP asking, "Can you tell us briefly about 2PM Jaebum's withdrawal?" JYP spoke carefully when answering the question, saying, "What more can I say after the company released its position? I can't say any more because it's a story in which the future of young people with potential is too entangled in..."

He continued on to state, "The most regrettable thing is where when they have a mistake when they're young. They debut early, so those common mistakes they might have exploded in a public manner. And since it explodes when they have money and performance and honor at such a young age, it is more unacceptable."

He continued on to state that it was a conflicted decision that he had to make saying, "If it's small, I can cover it, but it grew too big so I have to conflict between protecting this child and deceiving the public."

Finally, he closed by explaining his hardships during the controversy, recalling, "If I cover it up somewhat, I can protect this child and not deceive the public at the same time, but the situation grew bigger and it seems that this guy will be hurt if I reveal it at the stage where the public is saying 'reveal the truth'. That part is the hardest."

Park Jin Young revealed, “Ki Kwang was outstanding in both singing and dancing, and the reason why he didn’t debut was because he knew this fact himself.”

The MC then questioned the reason as to why Lee Kikwang, who was the supporting MC during the show, did not debut under JYPE. JYP explained that "in order to strive to become something greater, you can't be satisfied with your singing and dancing". He went on to state, "Kikwang was already great at singing and dancing".

However, he closed off his statement by explaining that he's heard Kikwang is working extremely hard and is one of the hardest workers amongst his fellow artists.

I can't believe he said that about AJ! Just because someone knows they're good doesn't mean they can't also be humble. Confidence and knowing your strong suits are important, wtf. JYP was probably just scared that AJ would turn into another Rain and leave his ass, so he sent him off to Cube and stripped him of his solo status. UGH!

Well he's saying Jay did something so bad that he can't protect him. Yeah whatever. I also think his comments about KK were BS. I don't believe KK as someone who is so full of himself and goes around saying how great he is at singing and dancing. Is he supposed to live everyday thinking.. "Oh man.. I suck at dancing so much"? I'm SO glad he sent him to Cube because if it wasn't for him, we wouldn't have Beast today.. who has been having such great success. Cute family ftw!
HONG SEUNG SUNG > JYP all the way!
