KARA becomes models for art posters created by realist artists

Girl group KARA will be reborn as an "art poster" by the hands of a famous painter.

According to their agency, DSP Media, painters Won Jongshin and Park Gi-il will be using KARA as a model for their "art poster" project runaway.

The work is currently in its finishing process and will be completed for a public exhibit in December. The limited edition work will be sold to art lovers and KARA fans alike.

Realist painter, Wong Jongshin, uses realism photography painting (photorealism) using mixed medias to draw KARA. Park Gi-il a dummy technique to create a realistic form of KARA in the form of dolls using his unique realist methods.

It is quite unusual for a popular idol group, such as KARA, to be used as models for painters' "art posters," thus proving that the Hallyu Wave and KARA have become an interest in various areas.

Meanwhile, more art posters featuring KARA will be revealed to fans in October through the tv12 Gallery homepage, and can be viewed publicly in December at the exhibit featured at the tv12 Gallery itself in Gangnam-gu, Seoul.
