Lee Hi featured on Wall Street Journal + dubbed as "Korea's Adele"
Wall Street Journal has praised YG Entertainment's newest artist, Lee Hi, and dubbed her as "Korea's Adele." On November 23rd, the journal featured Lee Hi in an article and praised her for topping the charts with her debut track "1,2,3,4."
The article covered Lee Hi's rise to stardom through the SBS talent audition show "K-Pop Star" last April, along with YG Entertainment signing her. They also mentioned Lee Hi's "all-kill" status on South Korea's online music charts with her debut single totaling 1.3 million downloads. She also became the first female debut act to rank first on Billboard's K-Pop Hot 100 Charts.
Meanwhile, readers of the journal also left favorable comments on Lee Hi, praising her unique voice and talent.
After a successful promotional run for "1,2,3,4," Lee Hi will continue promotions with her follow-up single, "Scarecrow." She is also set to join Epik High for a special stage of "It's Cold" on this year's MAMA.
