T-ara releases promotional video for Hong Kong showcase, sparks criticism
Despite the recent controversy surrounding the departure of Hwayoung, T-ara is set to hold the group’s first showcase in Hong Kong as scheduled on September 18th. To promote the event, a video message was revealed on YouTube.
Although the showcase itself has not been affected by the controversy, netizens began leaving a new wave of negative comments regarding the promotional videos for the showcase. In particular, in the video released on July 19th for the showcase in Malaysia, Hwayoung was shown alongside the rest of the members. However, in the newly released video for the Hong Kong showcase, the video was edited to cut out Hwayoung.
As the members wore the same outfits in both of the videos and stood at the same location, netizens were quick to point out the edit and questioned the professionalism of T-ara’s company. Check out both of the videos below; what do you think of the video edit?
