Veteran actor Jo Kyunghwan passes away due to liver cancer

Veteran actor Jo Kyunghwan has passed away on October 13th (KST).

On that day, Jo Kyunghwan took his last breath after suffering through liver cancer. Jo, who had always enjoyed drinking, was diagnosed with liver cancer and had been receiving treatments. However, he could not recover fully and passed away at the age of 68.

The veteran actor made his debut to the entertainment world in 1969 as the first generation of actors for MBC. Mr. Jo rose to fame after MBC dramas "Chief of Investigators" and "Tiger's Teacher'. Other famous projects that he had starred in are "General Hospital," "Mom, Older Sister," "Heojun," "First Love," "Wedding Dress," "True Love," and more.

More recent dramas in which he starred includes "Flames of Desire," "General Hospital 2," and "Sweet Life." With the important roles he had, he didn't let go of his job as an actor. His sudden tragedy had all his fans shocked and sending him their condolences.

Jo Kyunghwan's funeral will be held at Samsung Seoul Hospital Funeral Home on October 16th.
