YG Entertainment denies rumors of Daesung getting married

Rumors have been circulating recently that Big Bang’s Daesung was to be married. However, an official from YG Entertainment has dismissed the groundless rumor.

Recently, some online community websites have stated that Daesung will be getting married as early as next month at the church he currently attends; however, the YG official stated, “It is not true he’s getting married, and he doesn’t even have a girlfriend.”

The official then added that it wouldn’t make any sense for him to be preparing for marriage in light of his car accident earlier this year that resulted in a death.

Daesung was involved in a car accident in late May when he failed to notice a motorcyclist was lying on the ground after a prior self-inflicted accident and ran over him. After several investigations, the police determined that he was in fact partially responsible for the motorcyclist’s death, but has since reached a settlement with the victim’s family.

Daesung has currently suspended promotions with Big Bang as well as solo activities for the rest of this year and was seen earlier this month while he was on a church retreat. The other Big Bang members will be involved in various solo and duo activities until their 2012 group comeback.
