"A Werewolf Boy" to be released in selected theatres across North America
Attracting six million audiences after twenty-six days since its premiere, Korean film "A Werewolf Boy" is confirmed to be screened selected theatres across North America this weekend. On November 28th, it was announced that film will be released in selected theatres across California and Las Vegas on November 30th, followed by screenings in Seattle, Dallas, Chicago, Atlanta, Philadelphia, New York, Honolulu, Vancouver and Toronto on December 7th.
Director Jo Sunghee continues to receive positive reviews of the film as it topped the box office for five consecutive weeks and became the third highest box office film for 2012 in South Korea. Recently, it was also revealed that the film will have an alternate ending and will be rereleased in selected theatres in South Korea this December.
When asked about the alternate ending, lead actor Song Joongki was quoted saying, “Park Boyoung put on such a beautiful performance in this unrevealed clip. If possible, I’d like for this version to be released as well.” Since then, the film's production team received insistent requests to release the extra two minutes of the film, which will feature the undisclosed new ending. CJ Entertainment also confirmed that the extended version will also reveal a hidden story about the the film's antagonist Ji Tae and the villagers.
Meanwhile, "A Werewolf Boy" continues to attract more audiences in South Korea, as the film prepares for its initial screening in North America on November 30th.
