2012 MAMA: Lineup, Live Stream and more

In just hours, the 2012 Mnet Asian Music Awards (MAMA) will be airing from the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Center in Hong Kong, lasting a total of 6 hours including the red carpet and main event.

The 2012 MAMA will be aired in 85 countries across the world including Korea, Hong Kong and Japan, reaching out to 2.3 billion viewers. Sixteen countries will get the chance to watch the festivities live, while an additional 69 countries will have the recorded show air at a later time.

In addition to that, the 2012 MAMA will be available for live online streaming via 20 different platforms including Facebook, YouTube, Yahoo! Japan, Sohu and Global Mnet (MAMA's Official Website).

Evaluation of Winners:

Winners are chosen after reviewing 6 categories: online and mobile voting, survey on artist preference, special evaluation from judges, evaluation committee consisting of music critics and relevant experts, sales of music albums, digital chart ranking and etc.


Online Voting: October 23, 2012 6pm KST through November 28, 2012 12am KST at mama.interest.me


Evaluation Committee: 40 members (20 Korean and 20 non-Koreans) consisting of music critics, journalists and other music relevant experts.


Research Institute: Gallup Korea (500 interviewees between the age of 15-34 taken November 1st through 7th)


Digital Chart Ranking: Combined music sales of online music portals in Korea including Mnet, Bugs, Soribada, Cyworld and Olleh Music.
