Lee Hyori performs on Mnet's "Show Me the Money"
Lee Hyori previously teased fans with a preview of her appearance on "Show Me the Money" and that episode has finally aired on July 20th (KST). Her 15-minute medley was a collaboration among six rappers from the TV show: Kwon Hyukwoo, Kim Eunyoung (Cheetah), Kim Junghoon, Kim Taekyun, Lee Jaehoon and Seo Sungjo (Ill Tong). The crowd was hot as the artists revealed their amazing stage presence.
Opening with "100 Percent," Lee Hyori came into the spotlight wearing sunglasses. Her powerful rapping then transitioned to the slower electronic beat of "Want Me Back," and the first rapper Kwon Hyukwoo entered with smooth rapping. The two performed a mini skit on stage as he followed her pacing on stage.
Next, Kim Eunyoung's energetic "Chitty Chitty Bang Bang" was a true crowd thriller. This performance ended with a synchronized dance and Cheetah was hip bumped off stage to welcome the next song.
Kim Taekyun took the stage with Lee Hyori, performing "Scandal" before handing off the stage to rapper Lee Jaehoon for the track, "Unusual."
"Love Sign" was a sexy performance with Kim Junghoon, causing many hoots and howls from the crowd. The mood was slowed down as her next song, "Hey Girl" with Ill Tong was a more relaxed and mellow stage.
Lee Hyori's smokey eye make up and one piece outfit looked incredibly chic. The fabric was partially mesh, giving it a sexy look. She was especially excited because she had really wanted to be on the show and it was her first hip hop stage.
Previously on "Show Me the Money," rapper Verbal Jint was the second contestant to be dropped from the show. "Show Me the Money" features a fun way for rappers to collaborate and compete together on stage.
