Gavy NJ and POSTMEN release "Cleaning" + MV
In the first half of the year, Gavy NJ created a buzz with their new member addition as well as their track "Don't Call." POSTMEN, a male duo, received attention for their songs "I Know Him" and "I Will Be Your Lover" from last year. The two groups have now joined together to release a collaboration project titled "Cleaning." Together, Gavy NJ and POSTMEN will tell listeners the story of a heart-wrenching love story from both sides of the relationship.
The two groups released a music video for the title track, also titled "Cleaning." The couple is unable to clean up the memories of the previous relationship. Featuring Shin Jihoo of POSTMEN as the ex-boyfriend and new member Jenny from Gavy NJ as the ex-girlfriend, this music video utilizes still image techniques to convey the sad tale of the song and video.
A chain of high notes from Gavy NJ pierces the hearts of listeners, as the mournful vibrato of POSTMEN is introduced. Then, with precise harmony, the two come together. Despite their perfect musical fit, the emotional tune clearly conveys the separation that the couple endured.
In addition to "Cleaning," this release has a song titled "Love Theory" which features ARA, and POSTMEN's version of "Cleaning." Unlike the title track, "Love Theory" is a more upbeat, pleasant track. It showcases the light side of POSTMEN's voices while it is punctured by a smooth rap section. Lastly, POSTMEN's version of "Cleaning" without Gavy NJ gives the song another twist. Instead of having a melancholy harmony section, the duo reveals their ability to easily switch off parts with each other.
