FT Island to release new Japanese single "Polar Star" in November
A few weeks after revealing plans for a new Japanese single, FT Island's Japanese agency revealed the full title and tracklisting for the band's upcoming single.
"Polar Star" will be available in three different versions: a CD only, and two different CD+DVD releases. While the CD Only release only features the title tracks and its b-sides "Fallin' for you", "Beautiful World" and the instrumental for "Polar Star", limited edition A has an extra DVD including the music video for "Polar Star", a special feature and two multi-angle live performances from their "FTISLAND Summer Tour 2012~RUN!RUN!RUN!~ @SAITAMA SUPER ARENA". These performances are of the songs "Neverland" and "Stay". The second limited edition, Type B, includes a DVD with live footage from a Mezamashi Live performance which was recorded last July 28th. It includes "Stay", "Paper Plane", "Life", "Neverland", "Boom Boom Boom", "Top Secret", "Flower Rock" and "Negau".
As with most of their Japanese singles, FT Island's members once again took part in the writing process, as "Fallin' for You" was revealed to be a composition by bassist Jaejin, while leader Jonghun is responsible for "Beautiful World". It was mentioned that "Beautiful World" is a song that's different from anything the band has done before.
FT Island has only recently wrapped up promotions for their latest Korean full length album "Five Treasure Box" but will immediately be heading into preparations for their next Japanese single.
"Polar Star" is set to be released on November 28th.
