Girls' Generation releases "The Boys (Special Album)" in the United States and Europe

In 2011 after Girls' Generation released their Maxi Single in the United States, it was announced that they would also be releasing a special album in January of 2012. After having much success with "The Boys" in Korea, Girls' Generation has turned to the United States to make their official debut.

"The Boys (Special Album)" was released in the United States and Europe on January 17, 2012. In the United States, the album was released by Interscope Records and it will be sold on Amazon, iTunes, and in Best Buy stores. In Europe, the album was released under Polydor Records, a label owned by Universal Music Group. The album is available as a physical CD and a digital download.

"The Boys (Special Album)" contains all of the tracks on their Korean "The Boys" album as well as the remixes of "The Boys" from their Maxi Single that was released on December 20th through Interscope Records as a digital download.
