Kingston Rudieska releases third album, "Third Kind"

After their last full album titled "Ska Bless You" in 2010, Kingston Rudieska returned with their third full length album on July 30th (KST). The album, titled "Third Kind," showcases the talents of this nine member ska band.

Their music features the bright music of the trombone, trumpet, saxophone, and more as they bring listeners a youthful rhythmic sound with emotional melodies.

"Time Has Stopped" opens with nimble playing as the sweet melody and lyrics evoke warm memories of love. "Third Kind" is a song filled with the gratitude of living in the moment and to be able to breathe and sing. "Burning Desire" attempts to lessen the burning from an abandoned struggle, singing about a power that can burn again. "Two Seasons Lynn" is an example of ska's optimism. Inspired by Lynn Taitt, this song reminds listeners that other than sorrow, there is also joy in life. "I Do Not Enjoy This" is wrapped in a light, happy beat. "Ska Heaven" resembles a cheery dance number with its cute rhythm section and accented brass. "Well You Needn't" is the highlight of the album with its breathtaking trumpet and saxophone parts.

These new tracks describe the real world experiences of the members, whether it's "January Kismet", "Because of You," or "Dandelion."
