Windy City releases new mini-album, "Full Greeting"
The five member indie-reggae group has returned with a new mini-abum titled "Full Greeting." Consisting of Kim Banjang (vocal, drums), Shin Seobang (didgeridoo, percussion), Baek Junghyun (bass, keyboard), Oh Jinwoo (guitar), and Ra Guksan (percussion, chorus, dub), Windy CIty brings a very unique sound to the table, with an island-like, exotic sound.
"Full Greeting" contains a total of six tracks: the title track "Full Greeting," "Janchi Reggae," "Space Monkey," "Full Greeting (Jeoung Neoung Ver.)," "Dub," and the instrumental version of "Space Monkey."
The title track "Full Greeting" focuses on a heavy percussion and bass sound, with laid-back vocals and soft harmonies. The guitar melodies are rhythmic and funky, but do not overwhelm the relaxed feel of the whole track. In addition, the harmonica solo at the end surprises listeners with a fresh sound that is appealing and enjoyable.
