Mnet's "Hello Pop!" covers the "2012 SMTOWN Fan Meetup" + SHINee picks fan meet contest winners!
On May 20th, Koreaboo and Mnet collaborated to host one of the biggest fan meetups ever held in North America. The event took place at the Anaheim Convention Center, just minutes away from the Honda Center where the SMTOWN Live in LA concert would be taking place hours following the end of the fan meetup. Over 2,500 fans participated in the fan meetup,, along with SMTOWN fansites SHINee Forums International (SFI), Pearl Aqua Ocean, SJ-World, Iheartfx, DBSKnights, f!yeah THSK, and CODE EXO.
Not only were fans able to pick up their cheer packs from the fansites mentioned above, several contests took place including a singing, dancing, and aegyo contest, which were all MCed by Mnet's "Hello Pop!" VJ, Chrissa. In addition, official judges for the contests included Danny Park (IAMMEDIC), Jae Choi (Mnet Korea producer behind "2NE1 TV") and Richard Choo (creator/producer of K-POP MASTER).
The Top 3 finalists of each categories were chosen and their performance was sent off to a secret SMTOWN judge, which were revealed to be SHINee! Who did they pick as the winner of each category?
