Supernova's Sungje and Kara's Gyuri prepare for "200 Pounds Beauty" musical
Kara's Gyuri and Supernova's Sungje were casted as leading roles in the upcoming musical "200 Pounds Beauty" a few months ago. Earlier today, the main cast had its first press conference.
The musical is a remake of the 2006 hit film of the same name. Kang Hanbyeul, played by Gyuri, is a budding singer unable to make a debut in the industry due to her weight. Sungje will play her manager who eventually falls in love with the overweight artist.
When asked how they prepared for their roles, Sungje stated that he has been taking care of his health because of his hectic and busy schedule. Gyuri also mentioned that she has been traveling to Tokyo often, and has heard of a lot of amazing places and delicious foods from Osaka.
The musical will begin its tour performance in Osaka, Japan, and will travel across Asia with stops in China, Singapore and South Korea.
Earlier, pictures of Sungje at Gimpo Airport were revealed. He departed earlier than the other members of his group for the press conference of "200 Pounds Beauty".
Supernova is set to perform for LOVE-1 within a few hours.
