This Korean Celeb Lost 30 Pounds And Looks Totally Different

Shim Jin Hwa‘s hard work and effort has transformed her into a completely new person after she lost 15 kilograms with rigorous dieting and working out.

The Korean comedian first informed her fans that she wanted to start losing weight in October 2016. She opted not to follow a fad diet but simply reduced all the portions of her meals down drastically.

Shin Jin Hwa began working intensively, going as far as ensuring she had some exercise at least 6 days a week. The dedication paid off and she lost 5kg in just one month!

But, after the initial 5kg she started to plateau and started feeling incredibly discouraged. This is the stage that most people who begin diets or attempt to lose weight begin to lose their motivation. But, not Shim Jin Hwa!

“I lost 5 kilograms [in 1 month] and was super excited but I couldn’t lose anymore. It was so frustrating. There were days where I would just give up or cry and binge-eat because I was trying so hard but I wouldn’t lose anything.”

She began taking supplements to help and it appears to have worked for her. She was able to overcome her plateau and continue losing weight. It’s important to remember that supplements often just help decrease hunger levels or ensure you’re drinking enough water. The key to losing weight is eating less and portion control!

Since December, she’s already lost an additional 10kg for a total of 15kg and she’s become a totally different person! She feels lighter, her knees don’t hurt as much and her back has never felt stronger.

Shin Jin Hwa even reflected on her mindset when she was ‘fat’ (in her own words) and how she definitely feels better after losing weight. It seems like she loves herself much more now that she’s healthy!

“When I was fat, I would think, ‘What’s wrong with being fat. Is being fat really such a crime?’ But wow~~~ Once I lost weight (even though I haven’t reached my goal yet), my goodness, my body felt so much lighter.”

She hasn’t given up her diet or exercise routine up now that she’s lost so much weight. Shim Jin Hwa is making this a lifestyle choice and changing herself completely! She’s still working hard, sharing in one Instagram update that she rode her bike for 51 minutes that day.
