“Hello Stranger” ratings increased with Julien Kang’s guesting

MBC variety program Hello Stranger is reported to have increased ratings with Julien Kang’s recent appearance on the program.

On November 14th, Hello Stranger broke its own record for its audience reach, hitting 3.7% in ratings. The episode featured Julien Kang, who recently found himself in trouble with the police after an incident involving alcohol.

On the said episode, Julien Kang talked about his recent misdemeanor after allegedly drinking too much alcohol. He apologized to his fans for the scandal and his behaviour, and revealed that he has quit drinking. He stated, “I made a big mistake after drinking too much. I quit drinking after that incident. I am so sorry.

However, despite a peak in their viewership, the program is noted to be behind other programs in the same time slot. Hello Stranger is currently competing with popular programs such as Happy Together, one of the most popular TV shows in Korea. Despite this disadvantage, the program is steadily climbing its way to greater popularity.
