On January 18th, YG Entertainment posted a photo to celebrate 2NE1‘s Minzy‘s twenty-third birthday with fans. 

And while many fans did send Minzy their best wishes on her birthday, netizens have criticized the agency for celebrating her birthday despite keeping her under hiatus with the rest of her group. In addition to birthday wishes, many netizens also sent YG Entertainment promotion demands for the singer, suggesting the label allow her to have a solo debut to utilize her potential.
