On January 23rd, SM Entertainment girl group Red Velvet became the latest idols to join social media service Instagram.
The four member rookie group welcomed fans to their Instagram account with a cute video where they cheered about finally starting on the social networking service.
In the short video, the girls looked energetic and happy as they made their announcement wearing matching cheerleader uniforms with gold glitter tops and blue and white skirts. The group wore similar matching outfits at the 21st Korean Entertainment Arts Awards, where they were awarded “Rookie of the Year.”
The group also left a caption for fans, which read, “Nice to meet you ~ Red Velvet Official Instagram is open ♬ #RedVelvet.” So far, the group has a little over 40,000 subscribers, but that number is sure to increase as more people learn about the account!
