Shinhwa’s Kim Dong Wan gives heartfelt advice to his juniors during winning speech on “The Show”

On the most recent episode of SBS MTV‘s The Show, Shinhwa‘s Kim Dong Wan took home his first every music show trophy as a soloist for his title track “I’m Fine.”

Aired on October 27th, Kim Dong Wan went up against rookie groups TWICE, Lovelyz, MONSTA X, and SEVENTEEN. Winning with 7,402 points against TWICE’s 7,383 points, Kim Dong Wan was crowned this week’s chart winner!

Kim Dong Wan said, “Wow, thank you so much,” adding that he felt embarrassed for winning while so many of his juniors were around him, continuing on to thank the fans, the Shinhwa members, and others for supporting him.

He goes on to add, “Before getting up on stage, I heard that one of the juniors recently passed away. I’m very sorry and it stops me from being completely happy about my win, but my hope is that the juniors here today who have chosen to join this endless competition, please continue to try your best to overcome challenges.”

“I’ll be taking this trophy home today, I’m sorry,” he said towards his juniors, “To the members, I love you, thank you.”

Earlier in the day, it was reported that a former Superstar K contestant and two other males were found dead in a car.
