TVXQ’s Changmin confirmed as lead for “Scholar Who Walks the Night”
TVXQ’s Changmin has been confirmed for the leading role for an upcoming MBC drama, Scholar Who Walks the Night.
As of March 25th, Changmin has accepted the offer of the lead male role in the drama. This will not only be his first time acting for a historical play, but also his comeback to the brown screen after 1 year and 4 months of hiatus. Last year, he proved his acting skills through Mnet’s Mimi. Previously, he starred in Athena: Goddess of War and Paradise Ranch.
This highly anticipated historical vampire drama, originally adapted from the popular webtoon released in 2012, is expected to be the Korean version of the popular American series Twilight. In the drama, a young lady from a collapsed aristocrat family disguises herself as a man and starts to sell books and falls in love with a scholar.
Actors Park Hae Jin and Kim Soo Hyun have once been rumored to be strong candidates as the lead male roles of the upcoming historical vampire drama.
