24 Times SM Entertainment Delayed Their Own Artists’ Music Video Release, Much To The Fury Of Fans

Don’t they have a clock?

SM Entertainment is considered one of the best K-Pop agencies in the industry, but they have had their fair share of run-ins with fans, most notably with their seemingly consistent delays on their own artists’ music video releases. Here are 24 times SM Entertainment failed to release their artists’ music videos at the promised time.

1. SHINee’s “Ring Ding Dong”

“Ring Ding Dong” never had an official release time, but the time was quite random, as it was released on October 16, 2009 at 11:51 pm KST. Back then, the customary time for SM Entertainment music video releases was 10 pm KST.

2. Super Junior’s “A-Cha”

“A-Cha” was released on September 26, 2011, 7 days after the song was released (September 19, 2011). The music video was recorded days before Heechul enlisted in the military.

Similarly to “A-Cha”, “SPY” did not have an announced release date. Fans assumed it would be released on the same day as the album, August 5, 2012, but the release did not come until 7 days later, on August 12, 2012.

4. Girls’ Generation’s “Mr.Mr.”
