6 Of BTS RM’s Oldest Rap Covers That Are Still Gold Today

Back before he never took off his sunglasses.

Remember when BTS had just debuted and RM still went by the name “Rap Monster”? Early fans would remember that even before debuting, RM used to release rap covers that were not only a delight to listen to but also a great way to display his rap skills! His talent at rapping was clearly evident at such a young age.

If you haven’t heard them yet, we’ve compiled some of our favorite ones below. Enjoy!

1. Favorite Girl

RM released a cover of Marques Houston‘s “Favorite Girl” in 2012. The addictive chorus will get you hooked the minute you hear it!

2. U Can’t Do That

RM’s earliest rap crew, DNH (Daenamhyup), was formed in 2009, with its original members being Marvel J, Supreme Boi, Kyum2, and RM. They released “U Can’t Do That” a few years after, and needless to say, it’s epic!

3. La La La

In 2008, RM released a cover of BIGBANG‘s 2006 hit “La La La”. As always, when RM goes hard, it’s impossible to not feel hyped.

4. Thinking Bout U

Although this is one of RM’s more slow raps, it’s just as good as his faster ones! You’re guaranteed to listen to it more than once.

5. Where U At

“Where U At’s” addictive chorus will have you moving to the beat without even noticing. Whenever you’re in the mood for a chill rap cover, give this a listen!

6. Fuck Cockroachez

Yes, RM and Block B‘s Zico really did release a pre-debut song together! And of course, it’s entitled “Fuck Cockroachez”…but are you really surprised? If that intrigues you, give it a listen and you won’t be disappointed!
