5+ K-Pop Idols Who Dealt With People Committing Appalling Acts In 2021
K-Pop idols constantly have to deal with difficult situations, and in 2021, many idols dealt with unfortunate incidents. Here are some of these idols.
1. Tzuyu (TWICE)
TWICE Tzuyu’s family home in Taiwan got robbed, and the burglar stole signed Tzuyu goods.
The burglar was a hired cleaning staff that a family friend recommended.
Tzuyu’s family soon realized what happened and contacted the police. The burglar was soon caught, and Kaohsiung City Criminal University seized 62 photos, 11 albums, and 2 TWICE photobooks—all of which had been autographed. One album, however, had already been sold for $3000 NTW (~$107 USD). The burglar was released on bail not long after.
2. Members of WayV
Sasaeng fans are one of the worst things that K-Pop idols have to deal with, as these “fans” constantly invade idols’ privacy. In early 2021, WayV was filming, and they spotted some sasaeng fans who followed them to their location.
The members were quite angry and called out these sasaeng fans.
Everyone, we are currently in the midst of filming but some of such people have come and the weather is also like this so why… this is so ridiculous, really. I’m so angry. But I’m sorry everyone, for suddenly being like this.

Xiaojun said that these sasaeng fans were “so rude,” and Kun called them out when heading to the washroom.
3. Jennie (BLACKPINK)
Rapper and TV personality Lee Young Ji once received a DM on Instagram from someone pretending to be BLACKPINK’s Jennie.
This impersonator asked Lee Young Ji, “Hello, I’m Jennie. If you have the time, can we meet?” Lee Young Ji immediately knew that this person wasn’t Jennie and said that this was “the most dumbfounding DM” she received in 2021.
Jennie ended up seeing this post made by Lee Young Ji, and she left a comment that read, “Hello~ I’m Jennie.”
4. Yuna (ITZY)
In 2021, some haters left malicious comments saying that ITZY’s Yuna was “not as beautiful” as when she debuted in 2019. Some even went as far as saying that her visuals were “reversing for the worse.”
Many netizens saw these comments from haters, and they quickly came to Yuna’s defense.
- “She was literally born to be a celebrity..so f**king pretty.”
- “Her face definitely changed but not for the worse…she’s still super f**king pretty.”
- “Wait, who said her beauty faded? Because of what.”
