Sometimes you hear a new song on your usual music app, and, without even seeing the name of the song, you recognize the person who is singing it right away.
Some singers have voices that are just more distinguishable than others, which doesn’t mean they are better or worse, but they sure have a way of singing that makes everyone know it’s them the ones performing the song.
1. Park Bom
Formerly the main vocalist of 2NE1, Park Bom is considered a soprano, which means “the highest singing voice”. Park Bom has been praised for her unique voice over the years and in March of 2019 she made her big comeback with “Spring”.
2. Jessica Jung
The former Girls’ Generation main vocalist is known for her light lyric soprano singing voice. Her high notes in songs like “The Boys” and her ad-libs in “Into The New World” crown her as one of the most recognizable high voices in K-Pop.
3. BLACKPINK’S Rosé
Rosé’s particular way of singing has gotten her praises since BLACKPINK’s debut. Her thin vibrato and one of a kind singing style is really making her stand out from other 3rd Generation singers.
4. (G)-IDLE’s Yuqi
Yuqi is the owner of one of he deepest voices in the girl group scene at the moment. Her smooth singing tone is a major fan attraction. On the other hand, Yuqi confessed she isn’t very good at singing high notes due to her voice possessing a low pitch.
The former 4MINUTE rapper has an easy identifiable voice when singing and also when she’s rapping. Her trademark voice has made her feature in more than a handful of collaborations.
6. BLACKPINK’S Jisoo
Another member of BLACKPINK that owns a distinctive voice is Jisoo. The eldest member has a deep voice that can turn very sweet when singing ballads. One of the perfect examples of her true voice is her cover of “Yuki No Hana”.
Hyolyn is said to have one of the best lower ranges amongst female singers in K-Pop. She can rap and sing without straining her voice and has an overall very youthful and individual tone.
8. EXID’s LE
LE’s emblematic rapping voice has put her in the first places of “Best Female Rapper” lists over the years. Her rapping has been defined as powerful and sexy and her singing owns jazzy qualities.
9. (G)I-DLE’s Soyeon
Soyeon’s charismatic rap is one of (G)I-DLE’s most recognizable points, and once you hear her flow, you know you’re in for a good time. Her charisma and skills have made her one of the most coveted musicians in the world, as shown by her back-to-back invitations by Riot Games for their musical groups.
10. Red Velvet’s Joy
Red Velvet’s lead vocalist’s voice can be spotted with no problem in her group’s songs. Her voice sounds like honey in ballads and powerful in tracks with an upbeat feel.
11. MAMAMOO’s Moonbyul
MAMAMOO’s rapper, Moonbyul, has the luck to be placed in a group where all of the singing voices are quite high. Her low pitched and sultry voice, and her easiness to deliver verses makes her voice easily identifiable.
12. BOL4’s Ahn Jiyoung
Sweet, high and peculiar. These are one of the adjectives we can define Ji Young’s voice. She is known for her unusually high but harmonic voice that she accompanies with a charming personality.
