Ahead of this modification, the Ministry of National Defense held a meeting in order to discuss countermeasures regarding the recent surge in coronavirus cases in Korea.

On the 22nd, the Ministry of National Defense enforced tight control over the soldiers’ vacation, leave, and visits.

But for the soldiers who were currently on their year-end vacation ahead of their discharge, the regulations were modified so that they would be immediately discharged rather than having to return to base.

JYP Entertainment also stated that they canceled the fan meeting scheduled for the day of Wooyoung’s discharge out of consideration for the health and safety of fans.

We were preparing to arrange a location so that Wooyoung could thank his fans, but in light of the recent surge in coronavirus cases, we decided to cancel it out of consideration for the artists and fans’ health.
