Recently, a video of the idol has gone viral over his appearance.
Earlier this year, Renjun and Chenle held fan events in China, and a behind-the-scenes video showing the idols’ activities was released.
A clip of Renjun playing with a member of Chenle’s family was reposted to X, showing the idol styled with a curly wolf-cut, and high waisted shorts.

On one reposting, netizens shared thoughts on Renjun’s visuals with transphobic remarks, questioning if the idol was “transitioning.” Transitioning is the term used to describe when someone assigned one gender at birth transitions to another.
