BLACKPINK’s Jennie Tears Up Watching Never Before Seen Video Of Members Supporting Her “SOLO” Debut

BLACKPINK guest starred on the latest episode of We Will Channel You, where they looked back on footage they individually filmed during Jennie‘s debut stage for her ‘SOLO’ promotions.

 

The first video featured Jisoo, Rosé, and Lisa on their way to support Jennie’s debut stage at 4am. They revealed that female idols take the whole day to get ready for the night’s broadcast, and the members didn’t want to leave Jennie to face the important day by herself!

“The broadcast is at night, but we have to start getting ready from the break of dawn.”

“Jennie left at 2am, and we left at 4am to support her.”

Seungri and Jennie shocked the other hosts by explaining why it takes female idols to take nearly 2~3 hours per person to get ready, which is double the time it takes male idols to get ready!

“The difference between the time it takes male idols to get ready compared to female idols is double the time.”

— Seungri

“After getting hair, makeup, outfit and accessories done, you have to get it fitted. It takes about 2 to 3 hours for one person to get ready.”

— Jennie

 

Getting back to the videos, Jennie began to get emotional while watching her members take time out of their busy schedules to support her.

“I was to thankful. I didn’t expect them to come because it was so early in the morning, but they came…”

The video progressed to show Jisoo preparing special stickers that read, “Our shining Jendeukie. Please take care of her. From Jisoo.” She plastered them on energy drinks to hand out to the staff on her behalf!

“Today is Jendeukie’s solo debut day. I wanted to be her strength, so I’m preparing these. I hope it strengthens her.

I’m going to hand these around and ask them to take good care of her.”

Jennie soon began to tear up when she saw how much Jisoo prepared to support her.

“This is my first time seeing this.

I really didn’t know. It was my first broadcast so I was too busy to take care of my members.”

And Jisoo was definitely proud to call BLACKPINK the girl group of “Loyalty”!
