BLACKPINK Lisa‘s comments about YG Entertainment have sparked backlash amid her recent comments about the company and the n-word.
Lisa has been promoting her documentary.
During the documentary, Lisa addressed the n-word controversy, saying how she and LLOUD wanted to address the video, but YG Entertainment said no.
Lisa recently gave an interview to Rolling Stone to promote the release of her documentary.
In the interview, when discussing creative control and the dynamic among the members, Lisa touched on YG Entertainment.
YG also [is] really open to whatever we wanted to do because they respect us and we both respect each other.
When the quote was posted…
#LISA says @BLACKPINK members openly share their opinions, listen without judgment, and find a “middle ground” that makes everyone happy. She also says YG respects their wishes, while the members have become more confident in expressing what they want.#블랙핑크 #BLACKPINK pic.twitter.com/o53OarfaTl

The idol faced backlash as netizens thought Lisa’s words contradicted what the documentary said. They explained that while Lisa said YG were very controlling regarding not letting her address the n-word controversy, this new interview said that the company respected the members’ wishes.
First she said the company doesn’t let them do anything, and now she’s saying the same company respects their wishes. Like, make up your mind 😭 https://t.co/fWaSO0qrGG

So YG could literally control when you saw your friends and family where you could go and even stop you from apologizing for your own racist comment… but apparently they respected your voice and opinions 😭 girl, pick a story because none of this adds up 😭 https://t.co/emv6IYssTE

can she stick to one narrative? it’s starting to sound like a whole lot of bs to sell her documenatry. if YG is really mistreating you stand your ground and expose them don’t make a fool of yourself and others https://t.co/zeCbxWK2Am
