In particular, the lyrics for the track “06070” garnered much attention online.

In a recent live stream, Myung Jae Hyun shared the meaning behind the song.

“When I was 20, I worked part-time at a pub near Haehwa station. It was in a rundown area, but the pub is closed now, though. I used to work there, and while I was serving, I shattered the glasses I was holding after I saw the friends I used to practice with performing on music shows on the huge TV. It was that day that I made up my mind I would never try to be an idol, and that it wasn’t for me. But after that, things started falling into place, and I got a phone call from companies.

I had so many opportunities, they slipped right past me. I had a lot of chances to debut, but I didn’t grab a single one. People say that thoughts just keep chasing more thoughts, but I cut that tail off and used those thoughts to whip myself back into shape.”

— Myung Jae Hyun

Hearing this, fans could not stop hide their shock.

I can’t close my mouth….I’m bawling.

It must’ve been so hard to see people living the dream that you gave up on. But how did they find and bring him out…opportunities really do come to those who are ready.

My heart is ripped into shreds.

His story is like a drama.
