BTS’s “Dynamite” Sold More Copies Than All Other 49 Songs On The Digital Song Sales Chart… Combined

Their number of sales compared to the song in second place is ridiculously impressive.

BTS‘s “Dynamite” has broken so many records already that it’s practically impossible to list them all succinctly.

Their, arguably, biggest success came just recently with the announcement of their placement at #1 on Billboard‘s Hot 100 chart, a first for the group and a huge achievement!

They’re also going to place at the #1 spot on Billboard’s Digital Song Sales chart as well, which will be announced tomorrow. Even though the results aren’t out yet, it’s pretty much a given at this point, considering “Dynamite” has sold 265,000 digital copies!

But that’s not all. This number means that they’ve sold more copies of their song than all the other songs on the Digital Song Sales list… Combined.

The 49 other songs on the chart, when added up together, made total digital sales at just under 250,000. While this is a fairly low number in general, likely due to a lack of other hyped-up comebacks this week, it’s still insane that BTS outsold the rest of the songs by that much!

The song in second place, “WAP” by Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion, made just 25,000 sales this week, making the difference between it and “Dynamite”‘s sales huge.

Of course, this isn’t the rap song’s debut week, so it wasn’t expected to make as many sales as when it first came out — 125,000 sales in its first week, which was the record amount of sales in that time frame until BTS hit the charts — but it’s still incredible that “Dynamite” sold 10 times more digital copies than the song in second place!

Congratulations to BTS, and here’s to more records broken in the future!
