BTS Joins The Lineup Of Upcoming GRAMMYs Charity Concert
BTS is the latest artist to join the lineup of The Recording Academy‘s Music on a Mission virtual concert.
Back in November last year, BTS finally received their first-ever GRAMMY nomination, putting “Dynamite” in the running for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance at The 63rd GRAMMY Awards this month. Now, they’re joining the GRAMMY Week festivities too.
GRAMMY Week will feature several days of high-profile events in the lead-up to the awards ceremony itself. One of those events is the Music on a Mission concert, held by The Recording Academy’s MusiCares charity division.
Music on a Mission aims to “celebrate those in music most impacted by the pandemic” with a virtual concert, combining legendary past performances from acts like Bruce Springsteen and Usher with new performances from today’s biggest stars—including BTS.
The concert will take place on March 12 and tickets are already available. General admission costs $25 USD, and a ticket bundle with Master & Dynamic earphones is on sale for $200 USD. 100% of the ticket sales will go towards MusiCares’ endeavor to help those in the music community who have been affected by COVID-19.
Other performers set to take the stage include John Legend, Jhené Aiko, and HAIM. The concert will also feature special appearances from Shakira, the Jonas Brothers, and more.
The 63rd GRAMMY Awards will be broadcasted live on Sunday, March 14, 2021, so don’t forget to tune in and see whether “Dynamite” scores BTS their first GRAMMY award. The Recording Academy is yet to announce whether BTS will also be performing at the ceremony itself.
