BTS Jin’s Definition Of A “True Celebrity” Showcases His Humble Personality
BTS‘s Jin was recently the special guest on veteran DJ and comedian Park Myung Soo‘s YouTube channel Hal Myung Soo, making another rare appearance on a variety show, and fans are loving every minute of it.
Despite their 22-year age gap, the two natural comedians got along well, easily making jokes and falling into a smooth flow as they made loving jabs at each other and praised each other as well.
Although most of their video together had a joking tone, there were more serious moments. Park Myung Soo, who debuted in 1993, praised BTS for their monumental global achievements, surprising Jin with the sudden praise.
Between the praise for BTS’s hard work and Jin’s gorgeous visuals that earned him the nickname “Worldwide Handsome,” Park Myung Soo couldn’t help but notice Jin’s obvious but rare charm.
The seasoned comedian gave Jin the ultimate compliment when he praised the idol’s comedic skills.
Park Myung Soo wondered how the idol could be so handsome yet funny at the same time. He hilariously mentioned it’s rare to see both. In comparison, he noted that some idols pretend not to be funny to keep a carefully maintained image.
Although the show had a comedic tone, Jin had a surprisingly wise and serious answer to the question. He stated that he felt he didn’t have a crafted “image” and attributed that to one of the reasons BTS has been so successful.

In his advice as a member of one of the top K-Pop groups, he shared that trying your best at whatever you’re doing is what makes someone a “true celebrity.”
Being authentic and honest has played a big part in making BTS the relatable and lovable group they are, and it’s a trait they’ve continued even as they approach their 10-year anniversary.
