BTS members RM and J-Hope recently found themselves amid a major backlash for attending a Chris Brown concert and posing with him for pictures.

Though the controversy received quite the attention online and even from the media, the BTS members have kept quiet about the whole issue. With many fans eager for the members to address the backlash and take accountability, their online behavior has been subjected to close scrutiny.

On August 16 (KST), RM shared some concert photos on his Instagram account, which included a fan holding up a sign that said: “I ❤️ RM.”

This picture irked many fans, who felt that it was RM’s way of dismissing the current criticism. The fan who was actually in the photo later revealed that it wasn’t from BTS’s latest US show (Arlington) but a previous one, which happened around a week ago.

 

This revelation had the critics even more convinced that RM’s decision to post that picture was a calculated and loaded response to the ongoing controversy.
