BTS Members Personally Apologize To Fans, Sparking Major Anger

ARMYs are furious at the lack of accountability.

On June 12 (KST), BTS held their much-anticipated concert at the Asiad Main Stadium in Yeonje District in Busan. Despite the large-scale preparations for the event, things apparently went south pretty quickly.

BTS’ Busan Concert Faces Massive Backlash Over Multiple Alleged Management Failures

The concert had a massive delay of one hour and fifteen minutes, reportedly due to issues in the entry procedure and gift distribution. The debacle was so large-scale that BIGHIT Music ended up issuing an official apology on social media.

After the concert, the BTS members, specifically Jimin and Jungkook, acknowledged the issue and apologized to fans “on behalf of BIGHIT” during a livestream on Weverse. Jimin admitted they were not aware of exactly what went wrong, but regretted that the fan gifts ended up causing issues despite the good intentions behind the idea.

While the BTS members’ apology was a courteous gesture, fans were angered by the fact that they had to take the fall for someone else’s fault. Many ARMYs expressed their frustration with the lack of accountability from the real stakeholders.
