CCTV Footage Of Popular Actress’s Scary Escape From Home Intruder Leaves Netizens With Chils 

On May 20 (KST), it was reported that actress Kim Gyu Ri‘s home was broken into by an intruder. The incident left both Kim and her female housemate injured.

The intruder, a man in his 40s, reportedly broke into the actress’s residence at around 9 pm on May 20 and demanded money while violently assaulting people inside. At that moment, Kim Gyu Ri was with her housemate, and the two women managed to escape while the intruder was distracted. They ran outside to get help.

CCTV footage of the moment showed Kim Gyu Ri and her housemate running outside barefoot as they didn’t even have the opportunity to put on shoes while escaping. The two ran barefoot through the rain while desperately asking passing vehicles for help. One of the witnesses stated that Kim and her housemate came running towards them, asking them to call the police, which they did immediately.

Both women reportedly suffered bruises and fractures due to the incident. The police quickly launched an investigation after receiving citizen reports. The suspect reportedly turned himself in approximately three hours later. The police are said to be investigating whether this crime was premeditated and are also reviewing the possibility of a detention warrant request.

This incident has sparked significant concern as Kim is the second actress to be attacked by a home intruder after Nana, whose home was broken into last November. Given that Kim Gyu Ri had revealed parts of her traditional Korean hanok-style home on KBS2‘s Star’s Top Recipe at Fun-staurant in 2022, this incident has also raised doubts about the safety of celebrities exposing their homes to the public.
